    Hi

I am based in the UK and want to order a monorail pass.

I am a little confused about it. Can I buy online a few weeks before I am in Vegas? How would I then collect the pass when I arrive?

    Hi,

Looks like all orders online are for "eTickets".

    From their FAQ http://www.lvmonorail.com/frequently-asked-questions/

I've used the monorail only once, and it was a simple matter of walking up to the ticket window and buying it. There was no pre-arranging and collecting necessary. I can't really imagine that there's an advantage to doing so.

Might just pay for the weekly at the machine if its that easy.

wait until you get to Vegas. You might decide it's not worth it. The monorail is only on one side of the Strip and it's a bit out of the way to get to. I usually just walk as it's more fun.

    Good point.

How long would walking from Flamingo to MGM take? That will be the journey I need to do most.

Assuming you are a healthy adult? 20-25 minutes.

    The bigger questions would be

    • what time of year is the trip?
    • how many times a day do you need to go back and forth?
    • Where at each property are you looking to get to?

If you start at the street outside flamingo, walk back to the monorail stop, take the monorail to MGM, and then walk to the strip outside MGM, that is probably 15 minutes of walking (at least 10), assuming you don't get lost.

The best reason to do it would be to avoid the summer heat especially if making the trip a lot.

Monorail tickets I would wait until you get there. There's never a line at the machines. Same with RTC bus tickets. Only exception is if you buy a 15 day RTC bus pass than you may want to order in advance since this pass is not sold through the TVM machines. RTC Bus pass is delivered via USPS and takes one to two weeks on average. I'm unsure if they will deliver overseas.
