    Onyx card, above Emerald.
I heard someone mentioned it, but never have any information about it.
    Anybody know? They abandoned it?

It's a Mid-West thing...I've never seen anyone have one in Vegas.
It is a cool looking card though.

Mid-West? That makes sense. I am from East.

When I was at the Blue Chip in Michigan City, IN one day last year....I was speaking to a host in the host office, behind her desk on a table I saw 2 of them, that's the only time I've seen them.

What I'd love to know is what benefits come with it.

Me too! I've always thought of it as like an exclusive, top tier card, but never have found any details about it.

that info was from the person who posted the card pic, since 2012 it could certainly have expanded to more than 18 or could have been wiped out entirely

I guess it's a hidden tier reserved for whales. Total Rewards also has a hidden tier above 7-star.
My understanding (or guessing) is, in Vegas the whales would not go to any Boyd properties
while there are so many much better places to go. But outside Vegas, a whale could play at a Boyd property.

I thought that "chairman" status was a TR tier created solely for Watanabe. Have others attained this (or another similar) tier above 7*?

    We never know.
There are way too many 7-stars in Total Rewards. I am sure there are some whales who wanted to be distinguished.
With so many casinos all over the country, CET do get some big whales.

I honestly don't think anyone holding an Onyx card would want to visit any of the Boyd properties in Vegas, especially Downtown.

Maybe Suncoast but I doubt it.

Both my uncles have are onyx card holders and I know they spend an obscene amount here at blue chip casino in Michigan city, IN on a monthly basis, but they sold their company they started from scratch years ago for over 800 mill and spend all their retirement days here lol lucky. I don't even ask how much they spend here, I don't want to even imagine.
