Phase I : Denial - Posts of excitement of upcoming trip. States "I am so excited!, Woo-hoo lets get this party started"
Phase 2: Anger - Post only wins speaks very little of losses .States "WTF why am I losing?" May disappear from thread for a while
Phase 3: Bargaining - Justifies losses with "free" comps. States "Sure I am losing but at least my hotel/food/limo are free!" May post lost of pictures of alcohol
Phase 4: Depression - Food and drink take over trip report. States "I am done with (insert game of choice)"
Phase 5: Acceptance - Post pictures of wins and great moments. States "I know I am losing but I love it"

Actually I think it's more like:

Phase 1: Posts of excitement for the upcoming trip
Phase 2: Lots of pictures and posts while on plane and immediately after check in of the room
    Phase 3: Complete radio silence
Phase 4: Makes post saying he/she will just update when they get home.

    BINGO!

I can't blame people. I give TREMENDOUS kudos to the few folks who actually have a decent "Live" trip report. I think those are the people who are probably enjoying their vacation at a more relaxed pace. It's the go-go-go people who stop posting. I don't think I could do a live report.

I agree. The few times I've attempted to post live (because I know once I'm home I'll never sit down to write a trip report), when I do have a few moments in the room, I want to relax after no sleep and running around Vegas. The live reports that include multiple photos are so labour intensive; my hat is off to the members who go to all that work to take us along on their adventures.

Win, lose, drunk or draw I do my best to do a true live report with facts, bunch of pics and videos. Lose and show your emotions to let others know what it is like. Win and do the same. Live vicariously through me. Play golf with me, gamble with me and walk the strip with me. My secret in case any of you care, DONT GET BEHIND. If you can keep up with the report which is easy for me you will be able to conquer the trip report. Never go silent for more than 8 hours When you sleep or whatever.

I actually find the live TRs much, much easier. See something worth mentioning, snap a pic, make a one or two line comment, post via Tapatalk, done! Then I don't feel the need to write much. It takes me forever to write something up after the fact. I've done both and live is the way to go for me. I think they're more fun to read as well...no editing out live debauchery!

It amazes me that people can do live ones. When I'm in Vegas the outside world disappears, one of the great things about being there.

I do enjoy reading them though, kudos to those that can do it!

I've never tried a live report but for me:

Phase 1: write great report of first day
Phase 2: get tired of typing on touchscreen, decide to finish from the office on computer
Phase 3: write great report of 2nd day
Phase 4: decide trip report is not worth getting fired
Phase 5: attempt to finish from home, never finish
Phase 6: decide planning next trip is more fun

+1. In a way I almost feel an obligation to do a trip report since I have gotten so much useful information, laughs and vicarious living from reading so many of the trip reports posted here on VMB.

I find a live TR, using tapatalk with pics, is a lot more fun than doing a TR when I get home. For me they are more authentic and tend to include the good, bad & ugly of my trip. Plus, like Packer mentioned, it's a helluva lot easier for me to do it as I go along as opposed to trying to remember everything and then taking the time to do it when I get home.

Reading those live TRs kind of make me feel like I'm there at the tables rooting for the person. Such fun. Like the fairly recent live TR, I forget who, where he was playing baccarat and kept upping the bet after each loss and he was eventually betting thousands and thousands of dollars per hand. Christ, I felt like I was there......

Thanks to all the VMBers who post TRs. Whether they be live or not they provide a lot of great info and definitely fill in the gaps between trips to LAS.

+1. I am so appreciative of Packer et al that do them but I think my trying to a do a live one would be a real disappointment for my fellow VMBers. I am going to try, however, a pre-trip report with details and then just update it when the trip is over.

I'm in awe of some of these live trip reports. It really is amazing. Id be the one to write up the pre-trip stuff and then forget all about it. I have a tendency to not take many pictures, so i'd definitely not be posting either. it seems that when i am in Vegas, i tend to take in the experience with my own eyes and i would seriously neglect a live report. I take pictures during downtimes, but that would make for one of the more boring live reports.
