I'm not so hot on my CET Las Vegas host. Five weeks ago things seemed to be getting better but I've emailed the host a couple of times in the past month and have received no response. My trip is about a month away and I don't have hotel or ticket reservations even though I put my requests in early January.

I'm not a High Roller but have left a nice piece of change at CET properties. I am Seven Stars and will likely hit 150k Tier Credits during my trip in April. That' s an important trip for me because I will have family joining me. I thought everything was set but now I'm not so sure.

I have asked for advice before but things were getting better so I didn't switch hosts but now I'm rethinking things. I am stunned again by the lack of a response. In stark contrast, my CET host in AC responds by email literally in seconds and in minutes, even when he is sometimes away, in which case he forwards my request to a host on duty. My Wynncore host also responds within minutes. It is stunning how quickly he responds. My CET LV host is basically the extreme opposite.

Bummed out and needing advice again.

    dang man thats tough luck
my first host was great but after that it slummed a lil bit two hosts which i wasnt happy with i asked for new ones, recent host is pretty though although this time he couldnt give me such a good deal as he did last year(i understand they all have rules and restrictions by the company) anyway man you are a seven star!!!!!that means you are a whale so that means your lv host should act immediately(as the one in atlanta does)so you can do a couple of things..on here there is also a cet host(hunter is his name) or just call the lv office and ask for a new host you are a vip and you should be treated like that!!!(im just a diamond but if i would be sevenstar which i never will be i would already had a new one)

That is totally unacceptable. I suggest you reach out to Hunter, a CET host who is very good and is very popular with many on this form.

    I advise against this.
Hunter is great but I am sure his hands are tied and all it will result in is him forwarding your e-mail asking your current host to get back to you.
If you and your host are already not gelling well, this could only fuel more fire as now he will feel you are trying to go around him (This actually happened with my old host)

After being very frustrated to the point of considering just giving up on Total Rewards, I decided to use the "Contact us" under the FAQ section on the TR site. My question was a simple "If you do not feel like you connect with your host on a level that makes you enjoy your visits, is there a way to request a new host"
I was called the next day by someone who explained that they would be happy to help me and find a host that I felt was better matched to me.
A couple days later I got a phone call from a new host who then upgraded my trip that was already booked. (Granted the TR app on my phone still says my old host but I no longer use him).

Overall going to another host to solve the problem is like going to someone's co-worker and asking them to address a situation that they do not have authority to solve.

I am going to do this now. I just got some distressing news from my current host and I'm pretty upset at the moment. I just told her by email that I believe we will have to part ways and I'll appropriately find someone else.

I have issues with my CET host. I did reach out to Hunter via PM and while he was nice and said that he would help "if" my current host didnt handle my 7*.retreat, he just kept reaching out to the host who never did anything, Hunter never did anything, but I dont think Hunter is allowed to help another hosts client. I finally reached out to my Host at Harrahs So Cal and since he was assigned to me in CA, he had the authority to do my booking, even though my home casino is Caesars in Vegas. I am going to CET management and requesting someone new or I am going to leave CET

I emailed my AC host, who I like a lot, some months ago when I wanted to switch LV hosts but I didn't at the time and decided to give my current LV host another shot. He sent me the name of someone with the title of "VP of Player Development", so definitely senior to my current host. I just emailed this person and didn't say anything negative about my current LV host but asked if he could assist me or help me find a new host who can and with whom I may have a better fit. I don't want to drop CET entirely because I have earned Seven Star benefits I want to use but this has gotten truly ridiculous in terms of the poor customer service from my LV host.

So sorry you are having problems setting up your special trip. I hope you get this resolved quickly. I'm thinking about staying at a CET property in Vegas for the for the first time ever this summer. I hope I don't end up with your current host! Keep us advised as to how this all works out.

Will do. I have a not-great update. Don't mean to be a buzz kill but hopefully others can learn from my experience.

So the VP responded to me pretty quickly and said he would be happy to book my trip but when I gave him the details, which included my host having done some things and not others, the gist of what he said is that she really needs to handle the rest as he didn't want to mess with anything she had done. When I communicated with her last night I was upfront about needing to switch and she asked what she could do to help with the trip and I said to make the reservation for two adjoining rooms so we'll see what response I get today.

I can't believe how challenging it is to spend potentially thousands of dollars of my money. Truly stunning. At this point I'd pay for a few extra nights at Encore but for a number of reasons, including taking advantage of my folio credit, I need to stay at CET for part of the trip.

I'm not really sure what your requirements are, but I have problems with my Vegas host. We just aren't on the same page. I ask for a king size bed, non smoking, and then one thing more, like a high floor, or a specific view, and I can never seem to get a guarantee (and often don't get) the discretionary thing that my host should be able to request for me. Now, I'm just a diamond, so I'm wondering, can you not just contact the hotel you'll be staying at, tell them you want adjoining rooms of a certain type, and have them comped off after the fact? I'm at that point myself. Next trip, I'll just contact the hotel, get what I want, and see what the host of the day can do for me.

She is getting it together. I just got my reservations for two rooms in Augustus Tower. She has requested adjoining rooms, both rooms are comped and she said I won't have resort fees on the second room. My $500 Seven Stars folio credit has been added. She is double checking one thing and then she just needs to book my limo for our mom and two of your daughters for 4/9 :) and for me for 4/10, and I'll finally be done.

"She" is your original host, or are you referring to the VP? It sounds like you have had multiple issues with your current host over time. Even if this trip eventually works out OK, your best bet is to try speaking with other hosts while you are out on the floor playing or in the Diamond Lounge. Just casual conversation, try not to make it obvious you are "shopping for a new host," even though that is exactly what you are doing. Hopefully you will meet someone you connect with better... and after a little while just simply drop it into the convo, "oh wow, hey, we really get along, could you become my full-time host?" This is better than a random assignment from the VP because you're the one selecting. Your AC host may have a suggestion too.

Being a great host is a tough job and some very nice people who really want to help just aren't cut out for it. They get confused by all the computer systems, so looking up your play takes too long, they need help booking rooms or they mess up special requests, frustrating the customers and then they have to take even more time fixing it. And so they can't check their email as much, etc. Some hosts are terrific in person because they are always wandering the floor and talking to guests, but again this makes them unavailable to answer email most of the time. Some take the time to get to know the names and email addresses of all their 7 Stars, so when an email comes in, they drop what they are doing to answer it immediately... and other hosts couldn't tell you which of their guests are 7's or Diamonds or even less, so they aren't able to prioritize. (This stuff is true at every casino, just using Caesars terminology because it's where the OP is trying to book). Hosts are people, some are great, some not so much.

MoneyToBurn, I was thinking the same thing about just booking adjoining rooms myself if my host hadn't gotten it together but my sense is there is a still an advantage to them doing it. Now, I will likely contact the hotel this week by phone to confirm reservations, that a request for adjoining rooms is in, etc. and, if not, I'll note it with the reservationist then.

"She" is my original host. I will definitely transition to a new host during the upcoming trip as I already have plans for my birthday trip in August and I don't want or need drama getting ready for that trip. I like your idea in terms of finding a new host. I sort of did that a trip a couple of trips ago when my current host has stuff really screwed up. It was a really nice guy -- two different guys on two different occasions actually -- in the Caesars Palace host office who fixed things for me. In one case I had played a lot and lost a fair amount and he took care of my entire bill, except tips. I don't remember hearing from my assigned host that entire trip. She is based at a different property.

I also think she gets confused with the systems. More than once I've asked her to book a particular slot play offer for a stay and she has said it wasn't available. Both times it turned out not to be the case and I literally cut and pasted the offer from my online account into an email so she would see the offer I was talking about and then she would book it.

I really appreciate everyone's advice and I WILL take some steps, while hopefully really enjoying my vacation, during my April trip and will report back on my experience.

This thread leaves me uneasy. Aren't you a Seven Stars member? That alone should qualify you for better treatment. Heck, the whole reason you're seven stars is because you gamble enough to earn the tier. Why is the host so absent during all of this? By the way, see you in Vegas!!

Yeah if i were you i just wouldnt make much fuzz but ask or contact another host( this is what i did in the past..i had some great hosts and some lesser hosts) but we also have to bear in mind that companypolicy became a little more stricter the last couple of years causing that hosts can do less. Anyways for you as a sevenstar it wouldnt make a whole lot of difference though.
Last year i was very happy with my host( dont know if the small giftcard i gave him helped) as within an half houre he had all organised and emailed me back..got a good deal and first hotelbill was cleared( as i stayed 4,5 weeks i had 2 reservations) second bill wasnt cleared but as i broke even on gambling and played some vp to regain diamond it was cool....for my upcomming trip stay i didnt got a great deal i think but nevertheless as diamond i got 10 days comped and at a reduced price( although its double compared to last year its nothing he could do about it and i belive him)..anyways still good to hear that everything worked out for you........
