I've searched the board and can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for.

What exactly do we get with the coffee pot at 4 queens? I'm guessing its not a Keurig, which is fine. Is it those one or two cup brewers?

    Any help is appreciated!

One cup at a time brewer, two cups, two coffee filter packages, two accessory packages, just enough to hold you over til the run to Dunkins at the Fremont.

Suppose you had some freshly roasted Arabica beans (aren't they all?...). Then you ground them to perfection.

Then you put them in a wadded up paper towel.

Then you stuffed that into the seat crack of a 30 year old couch in your basement and spent five years having your pals over to watch hockey and football games while crashed out all over that couch.

After five years, take that stuff and package it into little filter packs, and then seal in the 'freshness' of your couch farts and assorted odors in a mylar package.

Now take that and make coffee with it.

Welcome to the Four Queens coffee ritual.

So, the useful part of this post is, it's just a basket coffee maker, best to bring your own filter packs of some sort if you want a decent cup.

While Casino Royale was still comping rooms they put Keurigs in the room. Wow! That is coffee, if you have some bottled water handy. Every other Vegas room coffee experience hinges on whether the device was misused by the last guest or cleaned by the maid with disinfectant spray and a dirty rag. Then the quality ground aforementioned. If I needed coffee to get dressed I would pack a better solution; some people actually buy a drip pot at Walgreens and abandon it. Me, I wait to get down to the bar where Allan will add liquid creamer or maybe Kahlua.

I just checked into a standard king room at the 4Q, and this is exactly what's on the table. Probably not enough if you're a devoted coffee drinker.

Starbucks every day it is. I don't know about Vegas, but Dunkin in Iowa is NASTY coffee wise.

This, by the way, is why I read every single post by Royal Flusher. You always make me laugh. Can't wait to taste the couch farts! :nworthy:

Which would you rather have? A Stim-u-l8te Starbucks Mochachino Latte double whip carmel mild blend or a Chock Full of Nuts Fart in a cup? If your staying downtown for that Old Vegasy charm, then its CFON Fart in a Cup for you!

Not if you bring your own coffee pot and coffee. Even if one is in a room we always use our own

LOL! Thank God there is a Starbucks downtown. I know when to be downtown extravagant, and paying for Starbucks is when. Actually, you can save a couple of bucks if you opt for an Americano, drink half, then top it up with creamer from the stainless steel jug...

Everyone likes a half and half, right.

I can see that if you are driving to town.

What's the most compact coffee maker there is? Maybe you can get one that is super stripped down and makes it into a cup.

    Ooo look at this:

I fly and we spend 10-12 days at a time. Full size weighs little and fits in my suitcase. Even if I had to buy one there for $10 or so, it costs less than a few cups of Starbucks stuff. We drink it before we leave room and don't have to get dressed and go down to get it. Probably save close to $100 over course of our stay.

I have a coffee maker that brews directly into two stainless steel mugs, so no glass involved. I used to put it in the bottom of my suitcase and take it to Vegas each trip. Now I bring my own K-cups and use the Keurig at the Golden Nugget. As long as you don't use their K-cups, it's free. I get cream and disposable cups at Walgreens and we can have as much coffee as we need in the morning without leaving the room.

Keurigs in the tower room at El Cortez. Two ten ounce bottled water free, five dollar room charge if you open any of the two cup packs; Green Mountain Breakfast, De-Caf, or Tea. Bring your own k-cups. Also, bring your own toilet paper.
