Booked my next trip and despite having 2 nights free or BOGO at Mlife lower-end properties decided to change it up. Mostly because Excalibur is the only property with smoking rooms and I am sort of tired of that end of the strip anyway. Doing 2 nights at the Linq (never stayed there) and 2 at The D, which had horrible loud construction at 9 am last time but giving them another chance. Was going back and forth between PH and Linq but chose the latter because it was $20 cheaper per night and I like the location better.

It's amazing what planning and booking a trip does for my mood. I hate not having something to look forward to and now I do!

I could tell online that they are kind of like dorm rooms. But for two nights we can take it. If not, we'll move to the D. Thanks for the warning though!

Like Frank said, they're small but serviceable. They're recently renovated so they're nice, just small. One upside is that a mini fridge is included in case that's something you might use. It's perfect if all you're looking for is clean place to sleep in a good location for not a lot of $$.

I too bailed on Excalibur ... the smoking issue was just gnawing at me. If mlife hotels are not going to let me have a smoking room then I decided they wouldn't get any of my gambling budget. We switched to TI...we have never stayed there. I expect to drop my slot roll at TI, V/P and Casino Royale. We use to only stay at CET properties years ago but switched to the MGM line 3 years ago...now time to switch again. Hopefully we drop enough in the slots to get future mailers from TI or V/P. I'm not looking for free but I wouldn't mind a player rate at V/P...whenever I check the rates there it is over $200 a night and I am a tad bit cheap for that.

The one good thing about small rooms is that it's not a long walk between the bed and the toilet. :vomit:

So true.... and funny. Hope you enjoy your stay at The D. That has kind of become our home base. Thought about booking a couple nights at The Linq just to check it out. Haven't stayed there since it was the old IP.

I really liked the D when I stayed there but the construction noise was horrible.
