Thoughts on these properties and room types I should look at? I have offers that get me in for a 4 day weekend (Thursday-Monday in mid may) for around the same price; We like the Linq because of location, we gamble there, Cromwell and Caesars...We haven't been down the Ballys/Paris way to gamble in some time so don't know whats to offer there.. What room types (we need two beds) / tower should I be comparing to get apples to apples...? The only hesitation to Linq is no fitness facility, it says we have access to one "nearby" I imagine Flamingo?? We have Diamond access, can we cross the street and use Caesar's facilities? Their Fitness Center is tops...Cromwell was adequate when I was there in October, but have no clue about Flamingo's... Appreciate the input if you all can help out... thanks in advance Scott
Bally's Jubilee room is top notch. I stayed a LINQ this past summer but it was just in a standard room. It was nice, clean and comfortable and served the purpose for a guys trip but I would have upgraded if the gf was with me. I only run the streets when in town so I cannot comment on fitness facilities but I did use Bally's once and it was nice and surprisingly big. I have never stayed at Paris but I think most folks compare the Red Room to the Jubilee when they are shopping them both. I don't think you can go wrong either way I just usually stay in whatever is closest to where I think I will spend the most of my time. I usually pick Bally's because its so easy to get to Cosmo.
Thanks cap't ron.. its just Dad and me this trip, so no need for "fancy upgrades"; just need a spot to shower and sleep; maybe Bally's then, with the fitness center; close enough to Cromwell..and not that far more to Linq...just never been a fan of the casino floor vibe there...willing to give it another chance
Yeah, I am just a VP guy, so I can't comment much on the casino floor. I will say it has gotten busier over the years and become much more active than it was 3 or 4 years ago. They have a great lounge and do some fun cover bands so it can get really crowded on the weekends.
A Bally's Jubilee room will give you a small coffee maker, a mini-fridge (hidden inside the dresser), shower only (no tub). Very comfortable beds. Depending on view & nights of the week, you can get noise from Drais (Cromwell) or Chateau (Paris). Just take earplugs lol. You can easily exit Ballys by the front valet & walk down & cross to Cromwell at street level - just watch out for idiot drivers, even when you have the walk signal. You will be to Cromwell in about 2 minutes. (Much easier than walking thru the retail plaza & the overwalks). If you want to go further north, you can actually just go in front of the Cromwell garage & cut across to Flamingo & go in the back entry there - when you get up to the check-in area, just cut across towards the buffet and directly out into the Linq alley. (You probably know these shortcuts already, but others may not). I would seriously love about a 15 day trip each time so I could rotate between Flamingo Go, Ballys Jubilee & Paris Red. When I am staying at one I always have this yearning that I really wish I were at one of the others lol.
As posted...Jubilee rooms at Bally's are the best. Used to love the Red Rooms at Paris but most of them are getting very worn. (the big showers in the Jubilee room are great.....very large & nice) There is a good work-out room (Bally's) ....son -in-law sometimes uses it but will also go across the street to Caesars that is much bigger....but he did have to pay a fee for that one where Bally's was no cost.
Booked bally's..jubilee room was $40 more than an indigo room ($10/night) but took it anyway. Non-premium room. We don't need the view...now off to find flights. Despite low fuel prices the flights are quite high. We (Dad and I) may need to fly separate for the first time in a while. Him out of Hartford and me out of NYC-JFK. I am equidistant from both but can get better itinerary for same price. I'd have to leave 3:30a to get a 6a flight out of Hartford. Kills the first day in LV.
Hmm. Still reeling about the Linq having no fitness center. According to their site it is between Purple Zebra & Club Tattoo. 24 hrs, kinda psyched for it so I hope they actually have one! Spa looks good to. Will get to the bottom of it next week.
Let me know. Would consider the $50 savings to move over to the linq of it were the case. Snap some pics?? Would love to know if it has decent equipment and room to use it/stretch etc
Stayed at Bally's last trip, can't complain. Price and location were great. At the Linq this time around, will report back.
Will report back & will try for pics. They also have this interesting & free in-room fitness delivery concept - yoga mat, foam rollers and other stuff. Only interested in the foam rollers but my try it if its simple enough.
That works for me if there is enough room. All I do is body weight training, but like to use a treadmill and spin bike too Yoga is a great workout and needs little space
I don't know how much space the Linq rooms will have for yoga - the 2 queens look rather cramped online - but the bathroom looks longish so maybe the yoga mat and rollers will be ok in there. It's a neat idea though, gotta get something for those resort fees!
