I put all my eggs in my Mlife basket and now it looks like all their rooms are nonsmoking. I prefer a smoking room but have some comped rooms in my winter offer. I believe someone on here said Excalibur still had smoking rooms. Anywhere else in the Mlife system? Excalibur does not appeal to me one bit.

I think someone mentioned that the 19th floor at the Bellagio is still smoking.

Last March was a long time ago. Things have changed to MGM going non smoking in most of their hotels so far. I would call to make sure, but months from now the one that allows may not. I know they screwed people when MC or Mirage switched

They asked this year too when booking at Mirage. We're going this week. I'll ask when I check in so I can report back ;)

Why not take 5-10 minutes and call a few of the properties that you are interested in, and ask the front desk if they have smoking rooms available?

When I was at MaBay last week, the front desk agent mentioned the 10th floor will remain a smoking floor, even after all the remodeling is done.

My host said MGM Grand is no smoking. I second just calling the hotel you'd like to stay in and see if they still have any when you'll be there.

Call the Mlife properties you can live with and see if they have smoking floors. Note that the ones that still have them will have fewer rooms available. If you find one you can stay at, stay there and play at a few CET properties (and maybe Venetian/Palazzo) and find one you like.

I think all MLife properties will be non-smoking by the end of this year. It doesn't make any sense to play there if you're not going to be able to take them up on future offers.

This is how we wound up at the Excalibur...Resort Tower. Only MGM prop I could find with smoking rooms. I either have to quit or go back to CET after this I guess. :(

When I booked my stay at NYNY for last September there was an option to have smoking or non-smoking. IIRC, they even confirmed that at check-in. However, I no longer see that option when I tested out their booking.

Is this a good time to admonish you for your bad habit? ;)

Unless we are all saints with no bad habits let's not start preaching to each other?

Yes. I was there with a couple of friends Jan 17-21. The host said they were all non-smoking for less than a week and quickly switched back to having a smoking floor because their valued guests were unhappy with the change. My friend (the smoker) emailed his host two weeks before our visit to get the room.

I can call my MGM host to see if they brought back the 29th floor as smoking yet. They didn't when I called on Jan 4th.

Just confirmed with Mirage today that all rooms are now non-smoking.
