    Welcome people of New England!

I saw a thread for locals of Toronto to introduce themselves and talk about Vegas, and I thought it would be a great idea for the Northeast as well

I'm Joel, currently on the younger side of the age spectrum (25), and living in the Boston area. I've only been to Vegas twice (once solo), but I absolutely love it and I'm hoping to be back at least once a year for the forseeable future. My next trip (solo again) is planned for March 22nd-28th.

I'll be honest, the first two time I went, I flopped on the nightlife. I went to LAX twice on my first trip and didn't go to any clubs my second trip. Really trying to get more into that scene. I'm also a HUGE blackjack and poker fan, so you can find me posted up at one of those tables quite often--usually intoxicated.

Introduce yourself--where you're from, age (only if you want!) and how you like to enjoy Vegas. How many times have you been? Best memory?

Let's keep it casual and not get into too many rabbit trails--there's always PMs for that.

    -Joel

Hello from 60 miles west of you....route 2 hills of Worcester County. Been going to Vegas since 1995 we are late 50s and like to relax. Slots, casino hopping low/mid priced hotels and eateries. Think....no clubbing and early bird specials  We can fly out of any of the 4 airports....we love MHT but sadly wind up with BDL due to price and schedule. Lived here all my life and have only been to Boston maybe 10 times...boonies is what we are use to. Why drive to Boston for a show/concert when we can see it while in Vegas!

Hello from Hyde Pahk! Each passing year I hate the snow more! Mid 40's, going semi-annually now. I mostly like playing poker, except when I lose! I am on a budget this next trip so it's poker with a few shows interspersed in case I get felted. Slots are fun but they really bring out the degen in me, so I try to stay away from them. Also love fancy cocktails, so Vegas is good for that too. Best memory is hitting a bonus in the high limit room machine in NYNY - my friend didn't realize what I had done so I punched him as hard as I could, hit the "activate feature" button, then turned $2 into $1000 (I was just playing $2 instead of $5 so I could pull out an even amount of $20s) :p

Part of me wants to take a few hundred into a HL room and test my luck on the more expensive slots. Stories like this are going to convince me to break the bank :wink2:

Yeah I know right? Certainly has yet to be repeated by me! I might try and convince my August crew to each kick in $100 and give it a go. Alone, I couldn't do it unless I had already won 4 digits somewhere else. Too much of my budget, and the a$$ kicking I would give myself the rest of the trip if I lost would be relentless! Best of luck to you though!

Hi fellow New Englanders. I'm brand new to this forum and have NEVER...yes I said NEVER been to Vegas. Headed there with my girlfriend the end of April and am completely psyched! Was born and raised in Mass (having lived in several cities) and have been in New Hampshire since '84 (went there for work).
Anyway...my girlfriend doesn't like to gamble so she'll be a pool goddess by day. I'll be found playing Craps, Blackjack, and possibly 3 card poker.
I plan on digesting as much as I can from this forum for the best (and most cost-effective) experiences ever.

Welcome! I'm excited to hear about your trip. The first time I was there, i was almost in shock at how huge everything was (and walking the strip is deceptively long).

I'm sure you'll pick up a lot of good info on here. I also would check out Jack Colton's site (mostly around pools and clubs) as well as other travel forums such as Trip Advisor (general discussion) for additional info. This site and those as supplemental information have helped me immensely.
