    Hi,

I want your thoughts about the following:
In 2015 we made 2 trips to Mandalay Bay. Each was for 7 nights. On our first trip in June we generated the following numbers (I only play slots):

    Coin out $13,090.09 Jackpots $2,500.00 Coin in $16,198.00 Win/Loss ($607.91)

After this trip we got offered 6 nights comped upfront at the Four Seasons for our december trip. In December the numbers looked like this:

    Coin out $35,779.11 Jackpots $2,500.00 Coin in $39,009.37 Win/loss ($730.26)

I just contacted my host at MB and got offered the same 6 nights comped upfront at 4S for our next trip in June. I find it a little strange, that she again doesn´t offer the 7th night upfront. Also no Freeplay, Resort Credit or Food Credit. Our Coin in was more than twice as it was the trip before and she offers just the same?

Would it be rude to ask for more? I am thinking about at least transportation from the airport, or some Freeplay/Resort Credit.

    Thanks for your answers!

    Betman

Our host tells up if we were to stay at Four seasons we can not get the same comps as if we stayed at Mandalay Bay or Delano. She has more to offer if we don't stay at Four Seasons

I'm no expert but based on experience coin in of 39000 generates about 3100 in theo which is about $1200 in comps. I think you are being comped very generously by getting 6 nights at 4 Seasons.

For what you put in they should be giving you your 7th night and some other comps and free play. I would just be like ill pass I need a 7th night and some free play. They will give it to you

Well the next funny thing. First we wanted to go on differnet dates, and the 4S was sold out. Host offered us 6 nights in a resort room at MB and the 7th night on casino rate!

Come on haha they should just give you the 7th night at MB. For the amount you risk every time you go they should do it. But I guess take what you can get. They all have gotten tighter over the years. Unless I'm in In Vegas I rarely go to the local casino in Cleveland who was part of CEC. And they throw comp nights all the time. Last time I was in Vegas was 6 months ago and I'm going at the end of the month and could have stayed anywhere for free frid-mon. So for you, putting that much in, they should give you 7th night and food and free play. Just my opinion

They should be giving you more...My last stay at MB was a comped 2 night plus resort credit plus freeplay. Gave them very little play (maybe $300?). Going in three weeks on 3 night comp, 300 resort credit and 225 freeplay. (My host at NYNY was finally able to match the MB offer, so moving to NYNY)

It seems that sometimes the first/early offers are better than later. Once they have you hooked, they tighten up.

And in this case, 4 seasons is costing you some comps.

Have you made additional trips prior to your 2 in 2015? Here is why I ask. (Keep in mind, we do virtually no play with MGM, our experience is with V/P and CET).

We make about 4 trips to Vegas a year, like you, we make extended stays, generally one week, 5-6 nights at Palazzo, 1-3 nights at a random CET property. Our offers at both are always fully comped rooms, and a consistent amount of free play from trip to trip + tournament entry.

We normally bring a low 5-digit roll, but the amount we actually risk/play depends on a variety of factors, including how lucky we are/feel, how much we've won/lost previously that year, what our financial situation is at home, etc. I don't really monitor this, but I would guess that on a typical trip our "coin-in" is 35'ishk, which doesn't count my time at the craps tables, but we've probably been as high as 50'-60s and as low as in the teens.

Because we have a long relationship, our offers don't change much as a result of one trip (V/P knows what to expect from us, and treats as accordingly). The disadvantage of course is after a trip full of a lot of action we don't reap an immediate reward on future offers - the advantage on the other hand is if we occasionally come and low/slow play them, or spend more time off property, they don't immediately punish us either. That doesn't mean we don't benefit from our higher play on a trip, it just comes in the form of a backend comp rather than upfront offers.

If you have a relationship established where they know what to expect from you, a trip that is out of the ordinary (either way) probably won't make much of a difference, because Vegas knows how this works - people get bonuses, inherit money, etc and suddenly spend more but then on the next trip are back to normal. (Not saying that's what happened here, but Vegas views everything with a skeptical eye). Now if you're play increases and remains high after a couple trips you should see a real change in your offers.

Like I said, this is my experience with non-MGM properties, but it seems consistent among my friends who stay at MGM as well.

We started going to 4S in summer 2014, when we decided to move from Wynn to Mlife. So the upcomin stay will be our 4th with them, so our relationship is growing :)
The "problem" is, now as we are used to 4S, moving to Mandalay Bay is not an option as we enjoy the quiet/upscale enviroment at 4S a lot. In summer the Pool there is also a big factor.
I guess i will ask for a limo for our arrivel and will talk to our host when we are there about some FP or RC.

I didn't realize a host at MB/Delano can give you discounts at 4S? Is this really true? If so, I definitely will take whatever I can get to stay at 4S during the summer. I LOVE their pool!

It's never rude to ask for more.....if you don't ask, you will never know.

In all honesty. I am shocked that they offered you the 6 nights at 4S (on a comp). The first trip was actually minimal play.
The second trip was probably the minimum required... to get the 6 nights for your upcoming trip.

We play much more (in terms of coin in 60k+ per trip).....we are offered 3 nights with a RC and freeplay. Just to give you some perspective.

    Good luck!!

They do, believe me! Their pool is the best! BTW the casino rate for the last night is 289 USD.

My corporate offer at the MLife HP (Winter offer) is also 3 nights + 125 FP and 200 RC

My host just confirmed the limo for our arrival! For the trip back to the airport she said she has to review my play at the end!
    We will see!
