    Hi everyone,

In my 20's I was a Vegas fanatic - journeyed there many times with friends, drank and gambled way too much, wrote trip reports, the whole nine yards. Now I'm married with kids and can't get to Vegas nearly as often as I'd like (I usually stick to the Connecticut casinos when I need a fix - they are a poor substitute.)

Anyway, I miss Vegas and I'm woefully behind the times on what's going on there. I'd like to go back sometime but until then I shall read your trip reports and live vicariously.

    Cheers,
    Abby Vegas

Feel you, Abby. I sometimes try the Oklahoma casinos....poor substitute indeed. Not even a free beer when playing.
Hang in there, LV is just a plane ride away!

Yeah, we all feel your pain! Abby, The great thing about Vegas is Even though you are a little older, Vegas is still there for you and can offer you that same excitement/recklessness/abandon you had in your 20's even though now the calendar says you are a few years older.

And although regional casino's are great for a short term Gambling itch, it still is not very satisfying overall.

I can only speak for myself, but for me, what continues to get me excited every time I go on a trip is knowing that 24/7 I can have a good time in whatever way I want - be it Gambling, Booze, Eating, Girls (Or Boys), Clubbing, Pools, etc - whatever you are into, it's there if you want it. And there is no set schedule - sleep in if you want, stay up as late as you want, even pull an all-nighter or 2 like the good old days. Escape.
