I must be out of the loop with the Flamingo...I was planning on eating at the buffet for dinner at 5PM earlier this week...so I played video poker in the casino until 5 and then headed over...no line then; probably because they weren't open for dinner. Apparently the Flamingo now only serves brunch in the buffet...how long ago did this happen? I think it's been a couple years since I ate there but they were still open for dinner with their "prime rib & Crab legs" dinner...

My first choice was Paris for dinner, but I was staying behind the Flamingo at the HGVC timeshare, and I was too lazy to walk over to Paris since it was a bit chilly this week. But, I wound up going there anyway. No line at Paris either for the general entrance or the Diamond/Platinum entrance..and they seemed to be giving about a $3 discount if you paid with Total Reward points? The prime rib is usually OK at Paris but there isn't all that much I care for on their buffet (not that Flamingo would have been better; the advertised "prime rib" at Flamingo was usually some cheap cut that looked more like chuck roast than prime rib..

Does the Flamingo Buffet serve "prime rib" when they are open for brunch?

My wife and I normally hit up Flamingo buffet for breakfast/brunch once on each of our trips. It isn't anything to write home about, but its kind of become a tradition, and we enjoy the view of the birds and I find the buffet has a relaxed ambiance to it, especially early in the morning. The buffet is only open for dinner Friday/Sat nights and does have prime rib (at least I've been told - never eaten there for dinner).

For brunch they do have a carving station with pulled pork and I believe there were BBQ ribs, but I don't believe they had prime rib. I'm not a prime rib guy though, so it may have been there and I missed it. Its a fairly standard brunch buffet with an odd collection of items from traditional breakfast foods to make your own omelet and burger bars and a mimosa/bloody mary station (which I personally love).

I've read that the brunch includes mimosas too.

From their website, they are open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.

I haven't braved a Flamingo buffet in about a decade, because it was not very good, so I couldn't comment on when it changed.

Going to be at Flamingo in April and September so I'm looking closely at this thread. Thanks.

It's been breakfast/brunch/lunch only for some time now.

Yes, you can have mimosa or plain champagne and I think they may have (or had) bloody marys too. One of those "hide it on your expense report" type of places. :) :)
