Wondering if this might be a good way to go for the big game? I have no experiences. You deposit cash at one of their locations and then place the bets from your phone, and pick up your cash if you win? Which is the best option? Anyone do this regularly?

    Thanks!!

I've heard nothing great about the William hill and cantor betting apps but you can use them from any computer. Apparently they are slow, wagers don't get accepted at times and amongst other things. I know other books have this option but haven't really heard anything about them.

Yes it's easier but probably better to just go place your bets.

I do it all the time from my phone, but I guess it's far easier in Ireland.
I just deposit money to my account with a debit card and withdraw any winnings to my bank account :)

not sure that is quite how it works here! a lot of the reviews i have read were similar to what broncofn said, but the posts were a bit outdated so I wonder if anyone has had better experiences as of late?

I'm using Bovada and there are some things I like about it and some I don't.

I haven't tried to pull money out of it yet though. That may be a whole 'nother story.

I am looking for one of the LV sportsbooks with an app, not an off-shore book

They seem to have nice lines if you bet the dogs.. and also more "prop" bets on various games and more live betting.. i do like having reduced juice with 5dimes though.. its like 5 percent

The one thing I'm starting to hate about Bovada is that they don't post lines for games until around noon. I'm waiting for the VCU game to post so that I can hit it and the line has already dropped several points while I'm waiting for it to open. That's happened to me multiple times.

    Edit:
Actually, I take that last part back. The line moved in my favor. So, today I'm happy about it. :)

If one plans on betting on events that will take place after they leave the state and don't want that money just sitting in an account they can't use until they come back, they would still have to place those bets in person and get a ticket to mail back in, correct?

Just to provide an update on my question above, I went to the CG website and it appears that there may be a way to transfer money out of the account and receive a check for games that finish after you have left.

However, the site is not very clear about the process. They give a detailed explanation of how to send a physical ticket in for payment, but only mention the possibility of getting paid out of state with the app and ask that you email or call for more information. I sent them an email to ask about the process and while the response time was very good all it said was we need you name and account location.

I am not sure if they are saying the process is that simple and a check would be on its way, but as someone who has looked into the process of getting money from online betting sites (and not gone through with setting up an account as a result) I was hoping for a more detailed response.

I tried to use the CG app last year on my wifi only iPad and it never worked. Hopefully whatever the problem was, I can get it fixed this year.
