That is basically people who rent a room or their house/apt out to you.

I read something that it is illegal in Vegas and the ones that show up aren't online long before they are taken down. I have never used them but I would shy away from this as you don't know what you're getting.

I thought that AirBNB was a room rental thing, I can't imagine that being more spacious. Are you thinking about a place like VRBO where you can rent homes/condos for a vacation? I have in other destinations, but not in Vegas. I like being just steps away from a casino. :)

AirBNB is for renting rooms or houses, it really depends on whats listed, sometimes you can find awesome and very spacias things for significantly less than the cost of a hotel, sometimes you cant. it really depends on whats there, it is not illegal and there are no problems with it, the main advantange of AirBNB is that its not a hotel so it gives you a different perspective of the city, you might pay less per square foot, but it will not be in the middle of everything

I have rented houses on airbnb. I have had good experiences and 1 bad experience. Just make sure whoever you are renting from has good reviews- that is key!

We have used it, and similar operations. Doing it again on a future trip.

Personally, would never do it for Vegas. Staying in a big hotel on the Strip IS Vegas for us.

Okay, maybe a condo/timeshare that is close to strip maybe....nah....
