    My Trip Report

Just got back from a trip with GF and two of our friends (also a couple. the past weekend 1/23.

We were staying in a balcony suite at the signature. Highly recommended for the price. Great view, good location once you make it to the MGM/Planet Hollywood. Very impressed, we were in tower three, good for PH but bad for MGM.

    Friday:

We arrived at 1 and checked in, no lines and they let us in early, good start. Headed to PH and got our initial losing out of the way. Decided to do the 2-1 at PBR rockbar, decent drinks but overpriced food for what you got. Pretty quiet night afterwards, just walked the strip since two of them have never been to Vegas.
    $-200 after night one

    Saturday:

First one up and I head to the MGM to get some bets in. 3 winners and a loser (K-state -5, OU +1, Duke -5) Miami -14.5 covered 14 for a loser :( Saturday we bought monorail tickets and set up to explore the strip some more. Wasted some money shopping, checked out Cosmo, Aria, Bellagio, and Caesars Palace. Started Gambling after lunch at NYNY and drinking way to early. Bought happy hour passes for the High Roller, highly recommended. $75 for two tickets, got a great view of the city and about 6 Margaritas. Afterwards we were planning on going downtown however everyone had to much to drink so we caught a quick dinner and headed back to regroup. This turned into everyone passing out early.

With my friends asleep I went to cash in my winning tickets, bellied up to the bar and played low stakes VP to destroy some whiskey. 5 Whiskey diets and 2 dollars more than I started with it was time to move on. I took the Monorail over to SLS to check it out and play some BJ. SLS was nice, somewhat dead but had low limits which I was looking for. Drink service was very slow but not a bad place at all. Stayed too long however and missed the monorail trip back. I was drunk enough I walked to Caesars (saw some interesting characters, said no to a prostitute, and got a workout). Took the free trams on that side of the strip back to NYNY and into the hotel about 5am.
    +300 +$100 for the trip

    Sunday:

Final full day in Vegas, I slept in while they all did some shopping at the forum Shops. (wasted my winnings) Hit up the Denny's for Brunch and we hopped on the monorail to Mirage. Taught the newbies how to play craps and roulette, I lost while the students won. After that we made our way back down to NYNY going through casinos on our way.

It is the Times square bar to watch the Panthers/ Cards, sat there for awhile, before not being able to stare at the slot machine out the window any longer. It was calling me. Put $50 into it bled out to about $10-15 before quick hits gave me a little gift. 20 free games @ 3x payout. After my 20 free games and a couple small quick hits payouts I cashed out a ticket for $482 :evillaugh Took the $430 profit, bet $200 first 12, $200 second 12. Won, repeat, won, repeat, won. +1032 in about 20 minutes. Took my money and ran in order to fund a solo trip coming up in march.

We hit up the buffet at Mandalay, it was average.. nothing special but tasted pretty good after winning. Back to bed after dinner early enough to be at the airport by 5:30.

    +1100, + $1200 trip

    today:

Airport, way too early. See you in a month and a half Vegas.

That is excellent discipline. It is so easy to blow a winning trip if you don't have goal. Sounds like you had a great time even without the last minute win.

It's easy to have discipline when its allowing you to go back to Vegas :)
