Hi everyone Im going to be taking a little Me-Cation end of January alone, checking if anyone has suggestions on a decent lounge or place to actually sit and enjoy a drink while listening to a lounge performer. Do they still have this type of "free" entertainment in Vegas? If its there I wanna do it! Ill be staying at the Monte Carlo so somewhere in that area would be cool, nothing night clubby just a place to sit and actually listen to a good or bad lounge act. Any suggestions?
Paris actually has live music just off, but still adjacent to the casino floor, the way that Vegas used to do it. (Sahara, Riviera etc) Nick
Lift Bar at Aria usually has someone performing live some nights. Small setup but they are usually very good.
At Mandalay Bay, the Mizuya lounge (at the back of the restaurant) has several rock cover bands which are decent. Of those bands Phoenix is best for 70s-80s music.
Every time I see a post like this it makes me angry that Bills Gambling Hall is gone. Free entertainment every night, cheap beer...the strip just doesn't have something like this anymore... O'Sheas has live entertainment a lot but nowhere to really sit and relax. OH! Best suggestion I have would be the piano bar at Harrahs (there is one at New York New York too). The Dueling Pianos at both locations are great and usually full of great people. I've had a blast at both
Thanks everyone who replied, these sound like great suggestions and I will try to visit as many as I can in the 3 nights Ill be there. I was sad to see Bills gambling hall was gone, one of the first places I visited the first trip I made to Las Vegas and I will always remember winning $60. on a 20 cent bet on the Wizard of Oz slot machine! Was exciting for sure.
I like that "Me-Cation" I second the Paris lounge. I used to like Indigo Lounge at Bally's, but I haven't been there since Drai's took over and remodeled. Looks like they now play 80s music there. anybody know?
Farther up the strip but I really likely the Eastside Lounge at Encore. It's not free but admission is only $10 plus drinks and Michael Monge is fabulous. He sings a great range of music and there's a mini dance floor, which I hit a few weeks ago during my Christmas trip! http://www.wynnlasvegas.com/Entertainment/MichaelMonge
The live music from Indigo Lounge at Ballys is pretty good. It pretty much dominates the casinos floor on the nights I've been there. I have no idea what their schedule is, but it seems to be an every night occurrence. Check it out!
