I am looking to go to Vegas for GNR. I really don't have any good comps for rooms. If I signed up to get the TR CC, it says you become platinum after your first purchase

How big of an impact would this have on room rates for me?

Yeah, unfortunately, it shouldn't change rates at all.

you will get $100 in comps after $1500 spend(just pay bills) in 2 or 3 months period. So technically you could use that for a couple nights at lower end CET (Bally,Linq,Flaming,Rio) and 2 free buffets worth around $50-$60.(upcharge for Caesars and Rio seafood) or 2 High Roller tickets. If you do social rewards also you can get an extra $7-$10 a month added onto the card for use.

I don't know why but this made me giggle. Just the blunt straight-forwadness of some of your replies are amusing when using the right verbiage. Again, don't know why because there is nothing to really explain. Thanks for keeping it amusing!

Ok cool thanks. It is worth a shot. Vegas has me frozen out across the board on any type of decent room rates that week (April 6th - 10th)

Cheap or comped rooms, like all offers are based on theo/adt. They do this because they think it will get that money back via gambling.

The simple answer is your tier status in and of itself does not get you better comps. The comps you receive are based on you gambling history with CET.

Are they still giving away the 24 hour buffet pass with the credit card?
The jump to Platinum helped as we were able to go to the front of the line for any buffet, the cage and TR desk.
It is also supposed to provide late check-out and other minor benefits.
