We are going to be in Vegas Feb 8 - 12th. I have been searching watching videos doing tours on you tube until I blue in the face. So I thought I'd try here since I'd probably get some first hand opinions.

We want to go to see the Jersey boys, and I think they are at Paris. We will be renting a car for the week but thinking we would like to stay mid strip but not necessarily. Maybe around Paris. We don't want to spend a lot but our main concern is cleanliness. My wife is pretty fussy when it comes to dirt. Is it possible to get a good/clean room for $50-$70 per night total with resort fees? If we stay around the Paris, we could walk to surounding casinos. We are retired.

The Flamingo or The Linq might be the closest to the price range you are looking for, and not to far of a walk to Paris. Harrahs might be an option also.

Harrahs has a special on Expedia currently that is for $32 bucks a night for your dates. The total for the booking of those 4 nights would $130.00, you would also have resort fees at checkout of another $32 per night(($141 total) This would get you at $65 total per night.

The Expedia sale for a king or 2 queen Mardi Gras room. Harrahs is usually well kept and clean and has a lot of retired persons like yourself/

The Linq is about $10 more per night, and a little younger crowd.

I like Ballys, Jubilee tower. We've always had clean rooms, no issues at all. Nice perks - small fridge in room and coffee pots. I haven't checked rates for the time you're going so I don't know if it's in your range.

I'd go with either Harrahs or Flamingo, or even Ballys. The Linq might be a bit younger crowd. I'd suggest a Go room vs. a Fab room at Flamingo, but the Fab rooms should still be clean enough for your wife and you to feel comfortable.

Bally's is what you want. The rooms are old but clean. It's full of people of all ages including retired people and not a real party place so it's quiet at night. Rates are very good for its location. We stay at Bally's often. Bellagio, Caesars, Venetian, Wynn are all nicer but they cost a lot more.

Do any of you have Total Rewards accounts? Those are the players club cards for the CET group of hotels, which include Paris, Bally's the Linq, and Harrahs. If any of you do, you may get a reduced rate for rooms there. Even if you don't, you should be able to sign up online for the rewards program, then you might see reduced rates on their calendar. Go here to log in or sign up https://www.totalrewards.com/content/cet-tr/en.html
I don't know if you will get any savings by joining online, but it is worth a shot! And, if there are 2 TR members, add the second # and it may reduce the rates even further....
    Good luck and have fun!

You are planning to put 2 couples in one room? Can I recommend not doing that, no better way to hate your vacation then doing that. With that said Harrah's for $65 a night with the resort fee at the bottom end or maybe Monte Carlo for $79 a night at the top end.

It was not mentioned, but I would never, ever, ever do that. Even in normal trips, it is difficult. In Vegas, even more so. For sure, somebody will want to be up later and....

Well, rooms are cheap. Get your sleep.

I would stick with Ballys simply on room size or Paris if the Red Rooms make the budget. Harrah with four people would be uncomfortable. Since you have a car, would you consider something near the strip?

I thought Harrah was on the strip?

It is. I think they meant hotels like Rio, M Resort that are close but not on the Strip.

Just booking a roller at harrahs and what a surprise. $32 per night plus $32 resort fees, pus $11 taxes = ($264), they wanted $412 plus $125 at the hotel. I got to figuring and their math is different than mine. $412 ????.....Come to fine out, they are charging me $260 for 2 extra people. 4 people total. I understand why but wow.

I did a quick spot check on vegas.com for Feb 8-12.

Avg rate (before resort fee and taxes, of course):
    Harrah's $32
    Flamingo $35
    Treasure Island $37
    Linq $41
    Monte Carlo $45
    Bally's $54
    NYNY $55
    Planet Hollywood $59
    Paris $72

Based on your budget and goals for mid-strip, I would echo some of the other commenters. Harrah's would be fine, but Bally's gets a lot of love on this board over other properties at that price point. I personally find the rooms and the general property at the Flamingo to be too dumpy for my tastes. Linq would be a younger crowd.

I also absolutely agree on separate rooms for two couples.

Treasure island is $54 per night. It's across the street from palazzo and Wynn and next door to Mirage. Unless you plan on driving to the Hoover Dam or the desert, a car really isn't necessary. You could consider using that money to book a nicer room.

One more reason to get two rooms.

I can not image 4 folks sharing one bathroom. Four folks agreeing to the same time for lights out at night, same time for tv turned off, and lights on in the morning. And, then the "snoring" and other sounds that come from older folks, including me. Or getting up in the middle of the night to take care of business....

Why would anyone put themselves through this on VACATION?

Don't tell them you have 4, just say 2 and they don't need to know. But again you will regret 4 people in one room.

Don't forget the resort fee of 30 a night
