Hope you really do not believe that. No different than any other large city. Or small for that matter if you read enough news.

I certainly don't feel the same as I did a few years ago. Too much spilling over to the Strip, from the seedy shadows.

How would one go about getting paid for it on a breaking news story so quickly?

Guess I won't leave the craps table next time. Can't walk on the sidewalk it seems.

Checked into bellagio last night probably right before this happened. Most likely was up in my room before 7:00... Was unpacking and saw all of the police cars in front of the hotel before I went downstairs again. Really didn't think anything of it as I assumed it was related to movie shoot or accident...ate dinner at Harvest around 9:00 (very good by the way) and noticed more people than coming from Aria/Vdara direction with luggage. Thought it was odd at the time but didn't really realize until, later in the evening after playing some three card poker and talking with the dealer and some other guests that most likely that was the only way for people to get to the hotel.

It was very quiet for a Friday night...the dealer came back from her break and said that they just kept referring to an "incident" on the strip on the news instead of reporting what was going on. I think when I went up to go to bed around 2:00 all of the cop cars were still down there on the strip.

Glad my flight was a little early and I hope no one was seriously hurt.

They closed the strip for walking. We were at the Eiffel Tower restaurant at the time.
