Is it worth using My vegas points for show tickets? since you can only redeem them the day you plan to use them it seems you'd risk getting not so great seats-anyone have experience to share?

The last time I used My Vegas for show tickets, we were able to reserve our seats almost three months in advance and we had really nice seats. Saved us hundreds of dollars.

We've seen Love, Ka, Zarkana, and Terry Fator through MyVegas. Each time we had fantastic seats and our tickets were booked 2-3 months in advance. I've never heard of not being able to redeem them until the day of.

Also, Zumanity. We haven't paid for a single one, and have never had a bad seat. Totally worth it IMO.

After you "purchase" your reward you call the number they give you... I was able to pick the exact seats I wanted. You can use the ticketmaster seating chart as a good resource for the show you want.. you can link up to the seating chart through the hotels website.. you can see every seat that is currently available!! Tell the phone operator the exact seat you want! You just have to pick the seats in the same category (standard, premium). I dont see much of a risk involved. You are in full control!

Not to hijack the thread from the OP question, but is it possible to redeem a reward for show tickets even if I don't plan on going to the show? I want to use the reward for tickets for some friends as a gift. I just didn't know if it would somehow be tied to my name and then they'd be expecting me to pick up tickets and go to the show.

For all of the shows I have purchased, I have had to pick up the tickets and show ID and Mlife card.

You would have to pick up the tickets but you could give them to anyone.
