At the M Resort today, their cash out system was down on all casino machines. I just should have played it through but I hit cash out with $3.25. Machine says "hand pay required". No one showed up to pay. At about 10 minutes an employee said someone will be right over. Waited another 10 minutes. No one. I went to roulette nearby and lost $100. Came back and waited 10 more minutes. Another employee said someone will be over.

Another player came by and laughed at me and said she'd been waiting an hour for $5. No ones coming.

I bought in for $200 at baccarat and asked if they could just pay me $3 in white chips since no one paid out my video poker machine yet. They said no which is understandable. Lost $200. I should have just stayed home today.

First time I heard the IGT "jackpot music", it was for 50 cents. Multiple people came over to look. :bang:

If the whole network goes down, it's hopeless.

I have been in casinos where the TITO system crashed. It is no a pretty site. And way worse than back in the days when there were more handpays, even small ones. As a result, there is very little staff.

Another bad time for a real handpay is around 8 in the morning. Almost nobody working. Has happened and had to walk a long ways to fine somebody to help.

I had this happen at MGM one morning. I was just strolling through killing a little time, spotted an original Lord of the Rings slot that I hadn't played in a long time. Threw in a $20, lost but had 10 cents left (required min of 40 cents) hit cashout, system was down and it wanted me to wait to get paid. Obviously I just left. Got home after the trip and had an email from MGM apologizing, and told me I'd have $25 available on my next visit. Went back the next trip, and hit for $700 on a 5 line dollar triple diamond machine. Best comeback ever from 10 cents!

Probably just because it was short of a full rip on triple play? I don't fault anyone for cashing out a small amount of money, even if it's a penny. However, when the system was down I would have just bailed rather than sit around and chase people to get a couple bucks back.

That happened to me once in Mystic Lake up in Shakopee. I went to cash out and the machine could not do it for some reason. I could not even cancel tha cash out and play it on through. My only option was to wait ... and wait ... AND WAIT! Tres annoying! :(

Ironic thing is I put in $100 and the machine didn't hit anything. While I was waiting, I watch some lady count her $5 bills and put in $10 in the machine. Max bet it and dealt four aces. She ended up with 2 hands of 4 aces and 1 hand of 4 aces with kicker. On the first hand.

Somehow I feel cheated that I never got paid. I've been at the craps table where the boxman paid out a $100 odds bet that the player "forgot" to place but he swore he was going to place it down. They couldn't pay me $3.

I think you should let the casino know about it and that you're still upset about it. I don't know that they'll do anything, but I think that situation is inexcusable.

Their website has a contact form here if you don't want to call directly:
