Like most every scam - either stupidly bragging about it or getting extra greedy and pushing the envelope.

A friend of mind who knew Bob when he worked at Mohegan in CT told me this:

This same guy came under scrutiny at mohegan 10 years ago
He was placing comp concert tix in his played Accts and selling them
He had a lot of good connections there so instead of being fired he resigned

    Using $480 K to get $419 K in return ---- from playing slots ?
These guys did alright for themselves.
    * There's a part of this scam missing - for security reasons, for sure. *

I love the reader's comments below the article. The best one called the dealer who exposed this scheme a "narc" for dropping the dime.

BTW, If you are a smoker, go to the Mohegan Sun, there is no reason to purchase cigarettes, just inhale.

If I remember correctly some employees at Foxwoods got busted about a year ago for a similar scam, saw players who had free play expiring and created new cards and played it...
    Edit: it was actually 2013

Why would you give a waitress the PIN for your player's card? Is that how people pay for drinks @ this place?

418k with only $8k of jackpots sounds pretty impressive to me. This takes grinding to a whole new level.

    oo

Yes, you had to give up the pin (no free drinks, unless you earned the privilege due to comps)

They did the similar thing in MGM in 2009-2010 w/fake players cards.

Also a few years ago, a Las Vegas Casino (Not going to mention their name)
Was awarding Free Play/Prizes to players that they knew were not at the casino (or even deceased)
& haven't been to the casino for a long time, so they could advertise we
have given out $XXX,000,000 in Free play this year to players,
yada yada, that they knew the players would never redeem.:grrr:
