So I walk into the casino this weekend and see a new game that I hadn't seen before? There is a craps table which is the same as a normal table but the sign says "Craps Free Craps". I didn't want to jump in or play it without doing some research but I really can't find anything. From what I read any of the 10 numbers can be established as a point and you can lay odds on them. With the 3 & 11 being 3:1 and the 2 & 12 being 6:1. The difference is you can't crap out on the initial come out roll. But you don't win on the initial roll on an 11. How much does this change the odds or does anyone have a link? I couldn't find it on Wizard of Odds so not sure if this is something that is just here.

Here is a link to the rules that are posted on the locals website

It's more commonly known as Crapless Craps so perhaps using that term will yield the results when searching

I've played it three times in my life and the only place in Vegas I know of that has it is The STRAT

It's weird and can suck your bankroll dry if you start playing the added numbers. On the other hand I've seen a dude buy in for $200 and walk with over $6k because he was betting on the 2-3-11-12

Pass line bet is rough. 5.38% edge. Losing the 11 as a winner on the come out sucks. Sometimes Buying the 2 or 12 is a good bet because at some casinos, you only pay the vig on the win.

The Wizard also says it's at plaza and Sunset Station. But that info may be dated as he lumped this game into the "side bet" appendix. It's been a staple in STL for years. B S gave it a whirl last month because the traditional table was full. First time I tried the game, my point was 3. I didn't hit it.

I play crapless a lot at the casinos in Tunica. I usually don't play the pass line and in Tunica they auto buy 2-3-4-5-9-10-11-12 at $10. It is a lot of fun there is no don't pass. And a hot crapless is the best. But Rocky is correct you have more money on the table and it can drain your bankroll pretty quick if the table is cold.

Crapless craps was one of those weirdo Stupak inventions, I believe. It was mentioned in the old Big Empire article about him, which is definitely worth a read if you haven't seen it already.

I remember playing crapless craps at the old Vegas World. Little Caesars had it too.

VW was unique that's for sure. With the space theme and all the crazy promotions Stupak did. With the location he had to do something and that place was always crowded. I haven't been to the Strat in years.

    Nice read! Thanks for sharing

I once ventured down to the Strat on a previous trip looking for the Crapless table but it was closed. This was the trip after I played it for the first time and wanted to try again. This was before I really knew wtf I was doing

I played it 2 years ago at Plaza and the table was cold so it took my bankroll pretty quick. Never really had the desire to play it after that

I hadn't ever seen it before. I think I'll stay away for now! Unless I'm feeling totally degenerate or on a hot streak where I want to burn money.
