Very sad news that Glenn Frey, co-founder of the Eagles passed away today. The History of the Eagles is my all-time favourite concert ever. He will be missed.

An awesome performer. Frey gained 6 Grammy's - and probably should have been awarded more.

    Eagles Glen Frey passing

Sad to hear of Glen Frey's passing. The Eagles are one of my favorite bands. Were they scheduled to play at the MGM Grand like last year? I was going to plan one of my Vegas trips to see their concert.

I hate to take something down from the bucket list, but I have no choice. Shoulda seen the Eagles sooner.

I'd guess it's up to Henley to decide if the Eagles continue.

We saw the Eagles in Mach 2013 at the Grand Garden Arena. I think they played there again in either March 2014 or March 2015 (or both?).

I thought Glenn Frey was the "cool" guy in that band.
    Stupid description, but that's it.

    Yes -
The Eagles will continue........are you kidding ?......sure they'll take a break.....but.....
Do you know the amount of $$$$ to be made ?.......by all......everybody wins !
I believe, I read, The Eagles are the highest priced ticket of all time.
Who needs a hit ?....or album, to tour ?
You will all get a chance to see them, again........if you can afford it ?

One of those crazy coincidences: I had re-watched Thelma & Louise just the other day and heard the Glenn Frey song "Part Of Me, Part Of You" playing over the credits. It was one song I didn't have so I downloaded it from iTunes.

Yesterday, I'm in the kitchen making spaghetti sauce, singing the song to myself, and I glanced at my phone and there was the news of Glenn's death.

RIP. I'm in the same boat as Bardolator, always planned on seeing The Eagles, and it just never came together.

I saw them with close to the original lineup and likely the best known and best lineup -- with no offense to Leadon, since from a creative perspective, he was there for four of the five cornerstone albums (and it all took a shit with #6, anyway.) But Joe Walsh is Joe Walsh!

The Eagles can tour again, if Saint Henley deigns. I'd like to see some of the swords sheathed and in light of Frey's sad passing getting Felder back in the fold. And Meisner deserves full credit even if time has passed him by as a participant.

I never miss a chance to tell this story -----
    *
As that first hit came out "Take It Easy"
I was living in Phx. AZ.
I hitched a ride to the Navajo Reservation ( Chinle AZ --- sp ? )) - with a young woman who got her
first teaching job - on the reservation.
After I got her settled in --
    I hitched back to PHX.
I found myself, at one point --- "....standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona..."
Loved it !....I was 22 yrs old ?......fond memory for life.

As a nostalgia band, not really a problem. Henley took over the heavy vocals lifting long ago. Yes, there are some iconic songs with Frey in lead and their co-leads, and there will be that voice thing, but his sheer mastery was writing and composing, and they haven't exactly been tearing up the new material, to say the least; he was a good not great musician.

No Breeze....I did not see that chick in a flat bed Ford.
In fact, I didn't SEE ANYONE.
It was as if I was in a ghost town......not a soul in sight ! (musta knew I was comin' ? )
    Breeze -
Funny you should write THAT line -
As I'm reading internet stuff about Glenn Frey --
it was stated ----- THAT particular line was the ONLY line added by Glenn Frey --
to an unfinished Jackson Browne song called "Take It Easy".
Frey urged Jackson Browne to finish - so The Eagles could record it.

    Also,
Frey's manager said, the meds taken for his arthritis, ruined his health ( colon ).
    Sounds right, to me.
