She's late 30's and I'm mid 40's. We LOVE music of all sorts except the dance stuff you'll find at the popular clubs...we'd be fish out of water those. But, looking for suggestions for a Bourbon Room type place where you can dance, drink, music, etc. Doesn't necessarily need to be 80s music a la Bourbon Room, but an atmosphere like that would be preferred. Staying at Cosmo...don't mind to travel for this place. Suggestions please.

I'm 46 and have gone to DCR a few times and have had a blast. Very small with couches and such with a small dance floor. Last time was on a Thursday night and it was more of a old school Chicago house music vibe in regards to the music. Artisan was really solid also but that was around 2 AM when we went there. Again primarily a house music vibe.

I have read Level 107 is very good also at Stratosphere . Never been personally.

I just queried in Tinab's post about Indigo Lounge at Bally's. Looks like they may play 80s music now according to the Facebook page, but I haven't personally been there for awhile. May be worth checking out.

    What is DCR?

DCR- googled it and it's Downtown Cocktail Room. 111 S LV Blvd. Gets very good Yelp reviews. Sounds sorta 'speak-easy'-ish.

Dutch, I haven't been down there in a few years but Mandalay Bay had a big bar in the center of the casino that had a stage where they would do live bands or even if there was no band they would still have music playing. I stopped by there a few times and it was always a diverse age group.

Thanks gpenguins...I remember that area and you are right. That's good one! And, I believe in the back near the restaurants there was always pretty good lounge with dancing.

    Gracias!!
