McMullan's is great. We go about every Tuesday when we're in Vegas for their pub quiz. You won't find me there on st paddy's day. It will be a madhouse.

    Thnks Snidely

It is a fun celebration..........but I don't want a drunken green beer zoo. I always get a kick out of the bars that have a digital St. Paddy's Day countdown timer. That is a standing room only bar on the 17th :drunk:

We had a parade every year in college and it was a great party, even snowed one year.

Ever since I was a little kid my mom made corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and whole carrots. Cooked it all day. She is long gone now but I still love that little bit of family food history every year.

The last several years our local pub has done a bang up job of the traditional supper. The portions of corned beef are huge and lean..and the best thing is they stash a bunch for massive reubens the next day.

Maybe I will just hit a deli for a massive corned beef sandwich.....with a side of saurkraut

I guess my next question, any deli recommendations , on or off Strip.

    Thanks Everyone

My vote would be Carnegie deli. Sandwiches are huge!! Maybe look into Nine fine Irishmen as well at NYNY.

Corned beef? I don't know anybody who eats Corned beef on St Paddy's day. Is this an American thing?

    Yes, It's an American thing.

My favorite thing on St. Patrick's Day is Shepherd's Pie but I don't usually have it very often so I save it for St. Patrick's Day.

My bet is that Nine Fine Irishman at NYNY will be as insane as any Irish bar in NYC.

I was out there last St Paddy's and actually avoided the pubs. Too crowded with the puking green beer crowd...only heathens and Brits choose green Miller Lite over a Guinness on St Paddy's!

And, it's gotta be draft - pulled by staff who know how to serve Guinness. I give extra points to pubs that use authentic Guinness glasses.
