    My Trip Report

I have decided I would like to take note of my "local" gambling adventures and keep a log of these to be able to reminisce on these or look back and say WTF were you doing? I have had some total meltdowns at the casino and left like really? Did I just do that? It happens and I'm sure it does a lot more to us on this board. I will admit I am a degen and love the action. I will gamble on pretty much anything whether it be a game of bowling for who buys movie tickets, flip a coin for lunch/dinner, honestly anything. Taking that in mind I normally don't do too bad but we all have our W's and L's but I know when to quit and don't go beyond my means.

    Casinos I visit
    Hollywood Columbus (local)
Scioto Downs (racino with slots and horseracing)
Horseshoe Cincinnati (I go here on weekend trips to meet up with friends halfway between where I live and where they live)
Horseshoe Southern-Indiana (Visit this one when I go home)

    Gambling
    BJ
    Craps
Poker ($2/5 NL Hold em sometimes $1/2 NL)
    Slots (.01 - High-Limit)

That is about all for now. I plan to update this with any adventure I have and with poker hopefully some hand analysis. I have gone a few times already and plan to backtrack through those. For now 2016 has been +$$$ for me and I have mostly stuck to using my FP and trying to gamble off of that. The local racino has been giving me $90 and a free buffet once a week so I normally go use that. As well the other local gives me around $45 and $20 in free food to use as I chose.

Now lets see if I can stick to it!

So I went back through my pictures and it appears I have gone to the local 1 time in the new year. I have an accurate account of that so I'm backtracking to keep this log as accurate as possible.

    Saturday 1/2/2016

I had $90 in free slot play from the racino so my plan was to go use that and possibly eat the free buffet as well.

I enter the casino and first off look for my new favorite game which has been my ATM lately... it's free! The game is the new Wonder 4 Jackpots with the wheel spin on a bonus. I play this for awhile betting between $2.00 and $4.00 a spin with few and far between hits. It's keeping me a float but that's it. I get a bonus and end up hitting the wheel spin for the Buffalo Jackpot which was around $250 (I was betting $2.00/spin at this time). The bonus is disappointing and I only get around $20. I am now up to around $350 and decide if I go below $300 I will cash out and leave. I keep getting small hits up and down and continue that way for about 20/30 minutes. I decide to change all the games to WWII and hope I get the jackpot as it is the highest of all 4 by a large amount. This game is a money sucker and it comes or goes really fast. I end up getting a line hit as seen below for about $350! It was $50.00 x 6 for the Ravens with some wilds mixed in. Awesome line hit for a $.50 bet on that particular game. At this point you can see where I'm at after the line hit. I'm around $676 and decide to do the same thing if I get below $600 I will cash out. I stuck to my words and cashed out at $600.36

I decide to leave here and I'm not eating the buffet. I have a food voucher for my next stop to use my freeplay and the food is a ton better.

Then I decide to make my way to my other local which is about 15 minutes away. I have $45 freeplay as well as a $20 food voucher. My goal was to hopefully use the $45 turn it into some cash and if not well I'm not sure! I have about $1100 on me at this time and prefer not to lose it but hey, I'm a gambler. I arrive at Hollywood Columbus and realize my phone is about to die. I am playing some NBA DFS on DraftKings so I want to be able to see if I'm winning or losing so I think to myself I need to find one of those slot machines with the phone chargers. I knew they put this new bank in that had a USB port so I decide to use my freeplay at this Buffalo Gold machine. It proceeds to take all my freeplay and about $100 more from me. I then go to some more slots and start dumping a few as I was chasing a progressive. I'm down about $300 now and decide well I'm going to buy in $100 at blackjack and either turn it into something or leave -$100.

On to the blackjack... I sit down and decide my bet was going to be $15 then add $5 for each win and then a max of $35. Table is a $15 minimum, 3:2, 8 deck shoe. I decide to sit at a table with 4 other people who are already playing. I ask if they mind if I get in... nope they don't mind. So first hand is a blackjack! Nice! In my past when this has happen I proceed to lose every other hand after. Not this time. I go on a little streak and hit about 6 hands in a row, lose one, then about 6 or 7 more hands in a row. Wow! If I only wasn't betting so little... I normally bet $50+ but was trying to lock in a win. So I count my chips I'm about to about $300. I had in my head if I lose 3 in a row I'm out. The guy to my right decides to color up and leave... I should have taken a hint. Then someone sits to my left. So then he damnit he is going to get my cards and the guys cards I'm getting has been just taking straight L's. What do you know I see the guy beside me win his first $5 hands. Nothing but BJ's, 20's, 19's, etc. I am losing and going up and down with can streaks. I then lose 3 in a row and leave with $175. +$75

I'm now -$225 at this casino but overall +$375. I decide to play a few more slots but nothing notable. I end up making $50 after playing on a few machines. I decide to go ahead and get some food and leave. They have some decent Chinese food but it's overpriced. I get my usual the Spicy Chicken which is actually pretty damn good.

    Summary
    Scioto Downs - $600.00
    Hollywood Columbus - -$175.00
    Overall - +$425

Think I'm going to hit up both locals tonight. I have $90 in FP at one and $40 at the other. Plan is to use that and then most likely poker.

I decided to do the local round robin to us my freeplay and gamble a bit as well.

First local which is the racino I have the $90 in FP and plan to leave after that or if I lose a hundred or so. I don't like staying there for long since it's only slots.

My machine is once again available!

I load my money and decide I'm just going to try to turn it into cash and then roll. It's up and down for about 30 mins @ a 2.00 bet. I get down to about $35 and say F it lets increase the bet and lose it or hopefully win. I change to 4.00/spin. Finally get a bonus again and get super free games. I end up getting a retrigger for 30 total games. Only 1 decent hit which was $80 the rest were a bust.

I end up leaving with a $150 voucher which only $100 was profit. For some reason I was cashing $$$ out as I turned the FP into cash but then when I get down I loaded a $50. Ultimately all of it got loaded in. Here is the final result.

So on to the next! $40 in FP hope to turn it into something.

    Sioto Downs - +$100

Just saw a blind gentleman at the casino. I thought man, would this be fun blind? How much money would I save if I was blind and would I have ever been the degen I am today?

Still playing $1/2 haven't been called. I'm an hour in and up like about $85 or $90 my table is full of tight ass people. It's a shitty table in other words. Biggest pot maybe $125 of the hour.

Yes, it probably would be fun blind. You would save zero dollars and yes you will always be a degen.
