Thinking about staying at the LInq in April. Does anyone have any info on what I should know about staying there?

Can you give me any info on the pool?

I read somewhere that the rooms only have showers and am wondering if that is true even if you have a suite.

    Thank you,

I'll be staying at the Linq for the 4th time in 10 days and have stayed in three different room types, suite included, so I can try and help you. Though I haven't ever gone to the pool, so I can't help much on that. I can tell you it's fairly small and there are two pools, one normal one and then a smaller, shallower one.

Standard rooms are fairly small, bathroom is shower only with a mirror and toilet. Luxury Rooms (formally called mini suites) have the sink, closet and mirror in a separate area with a shower and toilet in a seperate, door-ed off room. Suites have two bathrooms, one small one with a sink and toilet by the front door and another big one in the bedroom with two sinks and a larger shower. No bath tubs in any of the rooms, at least the ones I've stayed in.

If you can survive without the tub, I'd really recommend the Linq. I love the area, the rooms are modern and clean, the casino staff has always been very friendly and helpful to me and they have a good selection of games and food options. And you're right in the middle of 5-6 other casinos which is why I prefer it over something like PH or Aria.

If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask!

I avoided the long checkin line using the express checkin machines right by the checkin, definitely worth it if you aren't trying for a room upgrade.

Use the search bar and you will find a ton of recent reviews. A lot of us gave her a try last year and the results were mostly positive. It is not a back door in a Bellagio or Caesars type suite, but its a good time and a clean fun place to stay. Showers in the standard room I had, check in line wasn't an issue as I did the online check in as well. I didn't notice any terrible lines at any point during the weekend though.

As others have said, standard rooms aren't all that big and definitely won't have tubs. But the room is nicely done for the space.

Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of the pool, mainly because there isn't a hot tub. It mostly has a decent laid back vibe.

I've stayed their 3 times and really enjoy it. Everything is really clean. The rooms aren't huge but they are clean and I don't worry too much about size and amenities in my room. The location is dynamite. Easy to walk across street to Mirage for a mLife property as well a a short walk to Venetian/Palazzo. It is one of my favorite places to stay. Elevators suck though... Make sure to go to the elevators behind the elevators (pro-tip).

I stayed there last July. I really liked the Linq....especially the TAG Bar! Spent an afternoon at the pool. I agree that it isn't the best pool in Vegas, but it had a great vibe....beer prices were not too out of whack...friendly people of all ages just having fun! I stayed in a single bed room and it was adequate for my needs...bed was comfortable, shower temp was not and ac was cold. All in all, would return to the Linq!

Those who have been to the pool - was there a lot of shade from the buildings there?

Yes there was. The hotel surrounds it from 3 sides but for a majority of the afternoon, everything is in the sun. Here is a photo I took of the pool from our room at 6:20pm (in late April last year).

I'd echo everyone's comments. Small rooms but clean and recently renovated. I'd definitely stay there again.

I am facing west. The side not surrounding by buildings is the southern side. That said, we were only there in the afternoon but thinking about it more, you should have sun from early-mid morning to late afternoon.

Stayed there once the room was nice all be it on the small side. My only complaints would be catching an elevator could take a while depending on the time of day and the hallways seemed kind of tacky, but the center strip location cannot be beat. It had a nice pool, I think the pools at Caesars and Flamingo edge it on aesthetics but not by much.

So, if I have a "Luxury," what could I hope for with the sandwich?

As for the elevators, I've read in other posts that there is another bank of elevators behind the ones most people use.

92% chance of an upgrade to the Presidential Suite, butler and limo service.

Most likely a strip view. That's about it.

It might be nice to have a sticky about room options at the various LV hotels. We know that a Go" room is an upgrade from a "Fab" room at the Flamingo. But, as Nick suggested, the only upgrade with a Linq "Luxury" would be the view. Is the "Luxury" very different than the "Deluxe," which appears to be their "standard" room. Seems like the main difference is the bathroom?

Here's another that was taken last May, and I think around 4:30 in the afternoon....It's not that great of a picture, but it does give you a fairly good perspective of the shade as well as the size of the pool, and the day-bed things that surround it.

You could go from Luxury to Suite, but I don't know if $20 sandwich would be enough for that. If a $20 sandwich got me a High Roller view I'd turn it down as those rooms are a REALLY long walk from the elevators (which still suck) and the view isn't even that great. I had a pool view last time and really liked it. I could still see the high roller in the background. Never had a strip view, maybe this week!

Yeah, it seems that the SW at times wouldn't even be worth trying! That's why a sticky would be so helpful, methinks.....
