I was offered a cruise certificate from a local CET Casino, which I picked up the other day. I checked on my account this morning and saw another offer for a cruise certificate from the CET properties in AC. Am I being offered 2 different cruises? Since this is both from CET im assuming they are for NCL but are the choices for the cruises different or are they for the same selection of boats? Don't want to have to consider driving to AC to pick up the certificate if I'm only eligible for 1 cruise. Thanks in advance.
I assume you understand how these "free" cruises work, right? With that said, I am thinking you would be fine. Are you ready for two cruises?
They generally offer the same destinations but the eligible dates may be slightly different. You would be able to use both but since the cruises are not completely free, you may not want to. At minimum, you will be on the hook for taxes and fees, tips, transportation to the port city as well as to the cruise ship and any accommodations pre or post cruise if required.
I know the taxes and port fees are not included. I was just curious if the offerings are the same or differ in any way.
That's actually good to hear because the sail date is one of the issues with the first offer that I received. Thanks for the response. Most likely I won't take 2 cruises just would like the option on a later sail date.
There should be 2 different cruises offered, at least for me. One is NCL and the other is Carnival. As others have mentioned, there are additional fees for each cruise.
Hello TV157--- I've used 6 or 7 cruise certificates from CET, and every one has been on NCL ships. Are you sure the Carnival is from CET? If so, which AC casino? I didn't think they had arrangements with Carnival. I currently have an offer for certificate pickup at any of the three CET AC casinos on January 22 or 23. Cruise dates selections are from January to July 2016. Destinations are: Bahamas/Florida, Alaska, Bermuda, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, and Europe (Venice or Barcelona departures). Is that the offer you have from AC? The offer mailer is definitely NCL. Regards, SteveAC01
I stand corrected. Horseshoe has offered both NCL and Carnival. AC has offered NCL. I thought CET only offered NCL so I'm not sure why they are offering Carnival ?
Horseshoe Baltimore offers Carnival certificates. NCL doesn't sail out of the port of Baltimore but Carnival and RCL both do (and RCL is aligned with MGM I believe).
Heres the latest snafu that I found with these CET Cruise certificates..... If you and your Spouse BOTH Earned one, and get it, and attempt to redeem for the same cruise? NCL says No. They now say you Can't redeem on the same cruise. WHY? What difference does it make? Thats like if we both earn a CET Room offer, but were Not allowed to book at the same time for our own room.... Makes No sense. WHY are we being forced to book at different times, because we live at same address? This is a deal breaker to me. I won't be going to anymore Cruise certificate giveaways anymore, as long as NCL has this (New?) rule. I say New, because weve done it before. NCL probably lost an almost Platinum customer. Very disappointing. I wish CET could DO something about it, its really not fair. I'm taking a comp PRINCESS cruise soon, thru a Cruise voucher pickup from Stations. NCL is NOT the only game in town.
