    My Trip Report

heading to aruba on Thursday, going to try to keep folks updated. I'm not sure of an exact number but there are 8-9 smallish casinos on the island. one of them recently closed and another one was robbed a couple of months ago. fortunately, it is an ISLAND, so the culprits didn't get far. hope to post some pictures and some updates. it won't be a gamble fest because I'm going to be enjoying the white sand and 85 degree temperature but will spend a little time each night exploring and winning.

A couple of the casinos have a sportsbook in case you're interested in placing some bets. I played at the radisson when I was there a couple years ago and felt completely safe.

I just got back from a week in Aruba. Stayed at the Hyatt (great resort and nice casino). Tables were a little icey, but had a couple goo runs playing BJ. They only had endless shuffle, which i hate. Where you staying?

First night at the Renaissance then 7 nights at Riu, trying to figure out what closest casino is with sports book kiosks

The renaissance is downtown, so I can't help you with that (although we did go to the private island, which was cool). When you get to the RIU, I can tell you the Hyatt does NOT have the kiosks, but the Holiday Inn does actually have a sports book. Normally opens around noon (island time, so who knows when they actually get there). The Marriot has the Kiosks as well. I had heard the occidental Grand had the Kiosk, but I never actually made it over there. Not sure I am helping, but good luck!

Missing you by a day; we head to Aruba for our annual trip Jan 16-30. We own at Playa Linda and Divi Phoenix but we rent our Playa Linda unit out and stay at our Divi Phoenix unit. It is our sun and sand vacation so we usually only hit the casinos once or twice a week.

Enjoy "one happy island" and if you go to the casino "gana de hopi placa" (win a lot of money).

Thanks, Vegas used to be my go to destination but after a couple trips to Aruba, there's no place I'd rather go. We are actually renting someone's timeshare at the Riu.

I've been traveling to Aruba once (sometimes twice) a year since '91. It's my happy place.

Probably the warmest water I have ever been in.
    The sand never gets hot.
    Love Aruba

One thing on my bucket list is to visit all of the locations mentioned in the Beach Boys song Kokomo.
So far I've been to Jamaica, but hopefully sometime soon for Aruba!

I'm looking forward to your report!

Ten dollar blackjack matchplays flow freely for Holiday Inn in particular in the daily freebie paper. You can also get them at the front desk of the hotel if you're staying there. They say one per day, but we saw little enforcement of that policy.

Ritz has kiosks now too although they don't mention it on their site. Also heads up island ATMs are capped at $200 USD in withdrawals (recent change) due to issues with currency leaving island. That includes casino ATMs.

I'll hopefully be able to post some casino picks, not sure what their rules are. I'll try to limit the number of selfies I take in my thong speedo[emoji3]

[IMG]won't bore u all with a bunch of people pictures, just verifying we arrived. This first night we r staying at the Renaissance. We had some dinner then stopped off at the Seaport Casino. I played a little DDB, hit 2 4oaks, one of which was 4s. Wife sat down to play a penny slot with quick hits, she lost her $20 and was done. Losing $20 kills her. I slid another $20 in her machine and said just play a while. On her second spin she hit 8 quick hits for $1564, needless to say, she can't stop smiling. Gonna stop in Chrystal Casino for a few minutes before I call it a night.
