Looking at a room called the mirage suite, says for romance 811 sq ft. have you stayed in this room and if so how and were was it ? In the tower? what ever that is

Is it relativly quite at this hotel in the rooms area? non-smoking rooms? walk from there to ph?

Please any and all help. price is about the same so no problem there

I've tried to book the Mirage Suite, but they won't let the general public have them. They hold them for the Mlife members. I don't know where you need to be in that food chain to get one, but something to think about.

Mirage is a longer walk to PH
I havent stayed at Mirage before, so I'd lean towards Vdara
*edit* the dual BR seems a totally rediculous waste of space compared to a dual sink Vdara suite
Like the Vdara suite or Exec corner suite

If you are getting a suite for free, you apparently must play at Mlife a fair amount.

As to walking to Planet Hollywood - are you playing there?

Distance... assume you walked the strip some while at Vdara. You can also check out google maps to get an idea of where each hotel is.

No casino but the Aria casino is so close you can almost count it. Heck it's probably closer from a Vdara suite to the Aria casino as it is from some resort rooms on certain properties to their on site casino.

Nicer resort to stay at: Vdara
Better Vegas vibe in one of the key hotels of the strip: Mirage

Mirage is definitely a longer walk to PH, but closer to other nice places like Venetian, Wynn.

Thats the thing..vdara is basically considered a part of Aria actually
And i swear it was a longer walk from my Augstus tower suite to the Caesars casino floor
Than it is from Vdara to either Aria, Bellagio or Cosmo casinos

As for gambling at the Wynn casino by staying at Mirage?
Pffht, you can have it...Wynn barely recognizes High Roller guests who play at their tables
    Much less we "regular" folks

I've always thought that you get more suite for your money at Vdara. I haven't stayed in the Mirage suite, but I do know that it isn't a true suite, but just a large room. I have stayed in the one bedroom tower suite at the Mirage - which was nice. I'd still go with the Vdara, just for the location alone. You are very close to both the Bellagio, Aria and Cosmo. That was one of the things I didn't like about the MIrage, was that no other M life property was really close to it.

I've never stayed at Vdara but I'm a Mirage regular.

If you're in a suite, of any kind, I say go for it. They are on the top floors (except the hospitality suites which I think are on lower floors too). You'll get elevators that service only the higher floors, making it faster and less of a wait. The walk from the front desk to the rooms isn't as bad as it is in some others. It's a walk through the casino but its easy and pretty straight. The service at Mirage has always been friendly and efficient. Their suites are nice and modern, though some are starting to show wear and don't feel "new" anymore.

I don't know Vdara, but I think the walk getting to and from the strip would be a pain in the butt. But I'm not a fan of having a long walk from my room to the street.

The Mirage suite is like a big room.. kind of like the executive King at MGM but bigger. The hospitality suite at Mirage is an actual suite.. sometimes people call those Mirage suites too but those are only bookable by hosts I think. For the price of a Mirage suite, I'd upgrade to the 1 bedroom tower suite.

and I agree with you about the location of Mirage now. Once they sold TI, it's kind of isolated from the other MGM properties. Still provides some of the best customer service on the strip though.

Front desk at Vdara is 30 ft from only 2 elevators...you have Aria casino 300 ft away..Bellagio 600ft and Cosmo 800ft
Cosmo puts you on the strip if you must CET... also there is a FREE tram that will take you from Bellagio to Monte Carlo and back
In addition? Any suite above the lowest "deluxe suite" has a full kitchen with full size fridge (including Real Ice maker), stove, combo Microvave/Covection oven and toaster. ..dishes and, cooking utensils on demand for free.. AND a Bosch Washer Dryer for getting smoke out of your clothes before going home (did I mention detergent and fabric softener is also free?) Honestly? VDARA face f*&%'s even the Sky Suites (short of the Villas)

interesting! I've never stayed because I go to gamble so it's never interested me. But since it's attached to Aria, is it comp-able with play there?
I guess if you don't plan to eat out every day and you're there for a longer term stay you'd want all those amenities. For me, half the fun in Vegas is eating at places I don't have at home and not cooking.. don't need a kitchen!

It's as close to Aria as the sky suites...just have to go for a very very short walk outside....but better security inside..no college kids and zero smoke

'Mirage' suite at 812 sq ft is nice - but no separate bedroom - it's a living room / bedroom combo - with 2 full bathrooms - nice when both trying to get ready at the same time.

Much nicer for about $50 a night more are the 'Tower' suites - 1250 sq ft - separate bedroom, large bathroom with two sink vanity, tub, separate walkin shower, plus dressing/ makeup area, toilet/bidet room, walkin closet. Large living room, dining area, bar, mini fridge with ice maker. Spacious with nice furnishings/amenities.

Rooms/suites in the 'tower' have a separate elevator bank - I believe Floors 26,27,28,29 - also known as A, B, C, D ).quiet and no smoking available.

A brisk 15 minute walk to PH.
Short walk to Caesars, Harrahs, V/P, Tram to TI, 8 minute walk to Wynn.

Have not stayed at Vdara so can't compare the two - just sharing what I know about Mirage.

Slight hi-jack to the thread but for April, through Mlife, I have these two options from Mirage. Regular King/Queen room at $37/night and Mirage Suite at $75/night. When you add $33 resort fee, Mirage Suite becomes 54% more expensive. Is the difference worth it?
