Will I notice higher than normal minimums during March Madness or is a lot of the crowd in the sports books?

There might be a few tables higher but most will be the same as any other weekend (higher then midweek)

That's correct. Much bigger crowds, especially at group type games like craps, but the limits aren't that much higher than usual

I booked a trip for a race without realizing it was MM....I typically hang in the 15-25 table range and was hoping I'd still be able to find some.

Where are you planning to stay? You shouldn't have too much trouble finding those limits. It will be crowded, though.

Staying at Cosmo...don't like the Casino vibe there so typically gamble elsewhere....guessing by your name UKFanatic there is a good chance you'll be there as well.

Ha. all along I thought the UK was for united kingdom. I was a little surprised how often he would fly the 16 hrs or so to go to Vegas so often. Today I learned something.

Already booked a stay at MGM Grand with a couple friends. MM and the bday are the two Vegas trips I have taken every year for the past decade. Never miss MM.

You will be able to find a $25 game at Cosmo. $15 will be a bit harder, just because of the crowds. MM brings huge crowds to vegas, but its not a big money crowd (like SB weekend or NYE). I wrote in another thread recently that during the first weekend of MM, you can expect the biggest crowds at the lower limits and smaller crowds at the higher limits. and that applies to everything, not just the tables. Last year I recall sitting in the Aria HL room and the crowd in there, as well as the fancier restaurants, was no larger than any typical weekend. But the main floor, the cheap eats, the airport, the Miracle Mile shops, etc., all had huge crowds.

The only caveat I'll add to this is that in my recent experience, 3:2 games at the $25 level have been increasingly difficult to find at Cosmo. You'll have very little trouble finding a game at $25, but whether it'll be 3:2 as opposed to 6:5 is a bit more questionable.

Oh yeah, I wasn't talking about game rules because the OP did not ask that. He only inquired about limits and finding a $25 or less game during MM is no problem

I remember being at PH last year and during Thur-Saturday it was somewhat hard to find a table under $25. Most of them under were always 100% 6:5 from what I recall. I didn't mind the $25 limit but was trying to play with friends but can't bring myself to play 6:5 unless it's for $5 and the drinks are flowing.

Yeah...I tend to avoid the 6:5 BJ, I'm good at a $25 table with decent rules....don't much like to gamble at Cosmo, just love the balcony overlooking the fountains. No matter where I stay I somehow always end up at Casino Royale playing craps, so I'm probably over thinking the table minimums lol.

I was there during the second weekend two years ago. Plently of $10 tables at most properties. As long as you don't need to play at Cosmo, Aria, ect. you should be fine!

I was on the strip this past NYE, and the minimum at cosmo all weekend was $25, but I did find $15 at LINQ and NYNY. Depend on what time you like to play, the earlier the better in my opinion before the crowd comes strolling through and you're grandfathered in if they raise the minimum. For me I usually start playing around 730-8am, less people on the floor and I dont like a big crowd at the table, makes it hard usually for the host to rate my play appropriately.

I spend most MM days at PH, Paris, or Ballys. Easy walk, and I'm lazy. Craps, you might find a $10 table at Paris or Bally's. PH will be at a minimum $15, even in the mornings. Most tables will be at least $25.

Agree with Ivan. Did the Hoops on the Strip MM party at Planet Hollywood and after 12 noon crap tables $25.00. Ballys, Marguritaville and Osheas had at least $10.00 table in the evening ( although that one would disappear at BallysFriday-Saturday). Harrahs kept at least one table at $10.00 for the entire weekend! I can't remember if the Linq went up because Osheas would solve that problem!
