Suite for 6 people on the strip

Hello VMB´ers,

we are a group of 6 guys from Germany and would prefer to stay all together in one suite instead of 3 rooms all across a hotel. Trip is planned for 10-14 days in May.

So far when I checked totalrewards and mlife properties I only found places for 4 people or sometimes 2 bedrooms and one extra couch.

I am writing here because you guys are experts and maybe know something that we are not aware of and if someone hints us in the right direction it would make or planning much easier.

Some additional info:
-I think $500 per night would be about the maximum possible and that might be a little much honestly.
-each of us has a totalrewards member card (only me with mlife too)
-we only consider locations on the strip
-preferrably 6 queen beds but I have no idea if possible at all...
-a casino-hotel would be preferred

If we can´t find something that fits the budget we would just stay at Flamingo for location and cost reasons. That should tell you everything.

You have a ton more options if you do consider connecting rooms. However CET isn't the greatest at honoring your room request if it's a full hotel once you get there lol.

 

There's just no way you're going to find any type of accommodation like that that's anywhere close to your budget. You would need at least a three bedroom suite/villa, and those are going to start well above $500 per night.

Even then, I doubt you'll find six beds in one suite, unless you are talking about the mega High Roller suites that are typically reserved for million dollar players but maybe could be had during a slow time for several thousand dollars per night.

Buffalo is right, your best option will be to try to get a two bedroom suite, which will probably have a king in one room and two queens in the other. Hopefully a pullout couch as well, or you could get a rollaway and take turns sleeping on that. Then hopefully get a connector room with two queens, and there's your six beds and you can all share the common area of the suite. But I think you'll have trouble even getting that done on the Strip for no more than $500 per night.

The one factor that could greatly influence this situation is the play history of you and your friends. You mention that you all have TR cards, do any of you have the past play to qualify for free rooms? If so, you may want to call casino marketing, tell them what you are trying to accomplish, and give them the TR numbers of everyone making the trip. When they combine all your play history, maybe you'll qualify for some significantly reduced rates. Good luck!

But you're way under budgeted for what you seek.

I thought it might be in our budget because we don't really need any of the luxuries. We are just trying to keep our group as close as possible because it is just much more fun that way.

And yes our play gets us some comped nights, but that is at places like flamingo for some lower tier rooms. Better than nothing I guess

Thanks again, we will discuss the next steps. At this point I think we will just go for the cheapest route (3 rooms at something like $100 for each room) and hope they put us on the same floor at checkin.

 

This was my thought exactly. I have stayed in the Bellagio 2 bedroom PH with the connector and had enough room for me and five friends. But you cannot get that on your budget. Unfortunately, I just don't think its realistic to find what you're looking for on the strip for only $500 a night

 

I would consider a suite at a less expensive place like Flamingo. Then get some additional rooms with the suite as a gathering place if that is important.

As said, you are NOT going to find 6 beds, or even 4 anywhere for that money. Even $1000 a night would be difficult. Just not going to happen.

Also, I would consider a move somewhere along the way - 10+ nights in one place will get old.

An earlier post today showed a link to see rates across all CET properties. After that, you can then login with your CET card and see what you can get roomwise.

 

Decide what hotel you want to stay at and call them an request that the three rooms be on the same floor and close together. When you get there, early in the day, go to the front desk and tip the person and request that you want them as close together as she/he can. Also, maybe they won't all be available at that time but you can put all the luggage in one room and move it when the rooms become available. Tipping really helps. I've done this many times with a 100% success rate.

 

Other options that could possibly be in your budget depending on your MLife tier include the Panoramic 2 Bedroom (Queens) at Mandalay Bay and the Hospitality Suite at Mirage.

But yes, your cheapest option is still rooms that are close to one another, and honestly, I don't know if I'd want to share my space with the same people for 10-14 days

 

You may want to consider checking websites out like vrbo and airbnb. Several properties are for rent that could comfortably house you and your friends within that budget

 

I would suggest something like a 2 queens executive suite at MGM Grand with some regular rooms. The suite could serve as a home base with couches and a bar, while the regular rooms are for sleeping.

Unfortunately, giant suites really only exist for high rollers. There are plenty of "big room" suites like MGM's Executive Suite normal people can get.

Another option would be a couple Bella Suites at Venetian. They have two beds and a sleeper sofa.

 

Does your suite need to be in a hotel with casino?

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Strip location (just North of Circus Circus and across the street from SLS) has 3-bedroom suites; but they would likely have only a king bed in each bedroom plus sleeper sofa in the living room. But if there's availability for a 3-br it'd probably be under $500 a night..

And I believe that Hilton Grand vacations Club Elara (connected to Planet Hollywood and the mall) has 3-bedroom units too. It's slightly off the Strip because the address is on Harmon but it's not any farther back than the parking structures for Planet Hollywood, etc. It'd be a bit more expensive there..

 

Elara does have even 4 bedrooms I think, but wayyyy more than $500/nt. I've actually stayed at the north Hilton Grand Vacation that you mentioned, and the location is flat out terrible. Would never stay there again, unless Genting and Alon both actually open.

We were looking into every suggestion. "Unfortunately" our group got even bigger. So it got even more impossible to find a place.

As everyone is on a very tight budget, we went with a different route now. We went with a couple of flamingo rooms for location and cost reasons. And at the end of our 14 day trip we have two nights at the Bellagio. Because...it's the Bellagio. Probably the only casino someone random on the street in Germany would actually know.

Total price for the trip per person is about $1300.

But most important for me:
I was able to convince them to go for 2 weeks I always hated that feeling on prior trips when all you can think about is that you have to leave so soon...

 

10 days was too long for me, hope you got plenty of money, the thought of tipping alone for 2 full weeks kills me

 

Are you only willing to stay on the strip? If so you have very limited options. The weekend rates are going to drive up costs.
One option that might work for you is Marriott's Grand Chateau which is a time share by Marriot They have a two bedroom option with a sofabed, One of the bedrooms has a double, you can then add an adjoining room to the mix.

Basically you end up with this configuration:

1 King Bedroom
2 Doubles Bedroom
1 Sofabed Queen

2 Queens adjoining.

Not knowing your dates I can't give you an exact estimate, but in the past I have used them for company outing / business. We had a corporate Marriott rate which we got for around $310 a night for the suite, and $160 for the adjoining room.
This place is tucked away around 2 blocks from MGM, and like 1/2 block from Strip right across from Planet Hollywood valet / cab entrance on Harmon. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-rooms/lasvg-marriotts-grand-chateau/

The weekend rates are going to be what will jump. If you have some guys with credit cards or who are Marriot rewards you can get a preffered rate.

 

Smart choice. No sense blowing that much money on a room.

Still would consider swapping at least once to break up the "sameness".

Heck, even downtown a few nights would be cool.

 

We do break up once towards the end and gift us the Bellagio as a nice treat to end the trip.

But I guess you mean earlier on...I told them about downtown and that we can always get a room there spontaneously for really cheap in the middle of the trip. It´s so cheap that we would just keep the Flamingo rooms and book an extra night or two at The D or whereever, which should hopefully do the job.

You should also look at Venetian. A queen room there will have two queen beds and a full sofa. I know the price will be more, but 2 rooms might be cheaper then 3 at flamingo.

If you have all the rooms under one reservation, I'm sure you can all be on the same floor. So it won't be that bad at Flamingo. A lot of suites will have king beds in the rooms so that's a bummer. I'd stick with the multiple rooms.
