This section of Encore's casino apparently opened last night and was curious from folks who might have the opportunity to check it out soon about their take. They have some decent info on their website, including a floorplan.

I just saw this place this morning while looking at the Encore website to read about the new breakfast, lunch & dinner restaurant at Encore. Trying to get a visual on where exactly this place is. Is it more connected to the pool area at Surrender or is it the space used for the old HL room? I'd heard the old Society Café space was going to be the new HL room.

I saw the construction walls when I was there last month. Its across from Surrender and near the VDKA bar. The HL room appear untouched, although an employee told me they are likely adding a small sports viewing area and betting window next to the HL area. but the players club is down the hall a bit from there

I'm not sure I get it.

Or maybe I do - is this sort an attempt to 'clubify' a part of the casino? Because Steve doesn't believe in gambling alone to make money, and I suppose, based on the results from XS, he's right about that.

Read some of the press releases. It's geared toward millennials. Interesting concept though.

From the pics on vegastripping looks like it's sort of a lounge area on the casino floor, not really clubby at all

there aiming for a more hip trendy place for younger guys and gals to play and socialize, kinda clubby withoutout the loud noise they will have food and booze.

its a way to intruced them to gambling so they can hang with there friends

Thanks for all the great info gang. It does sound like it could be a cool spot. All the while I was reading about it, I'm thinking that "this sounds like a fairly small area, as casino's, lounges and clubs go". Then in one of the articles Shock posted, I see where you have to make reservations so in that respect it sounds like you can't just wander in and out (unless it's dead) but will have to call ahead and reserve a table, just like you'd have to do at a popular restaurant during busy hours.

I have to say, having spent a lot of time in the Encore casino, that SW corner of the casino always has been a bit of a dead area.

I also had heard Society Café might be turned into a new HL room but I see one of the articles says it will be an Encore Poker Room, which they don't have at all right now. Probably a pretty good location, right next to this new hip club/lounge/bar/restaurant area.

Looking at the FB offering, in the FAQ they say there is a $100 per head minimum. So if you want to lounge around and watch the game on one of those primo Roger Thomas couches your paying $100 for the privilege.

I fall right on the border or Gen X and Millennial. Though I feel like I may identify with gen x more due to having an older sibling as do many of my closer friends. This concept doesn't appeal to me at all. A Party Pit is much more my style as I do enjoy them and end up at Bond often.

That's minimum spend, no? I think I could eat and drink $100 worth easily while watching a game. Would save me from dumping even more into video poker too :)

I am not so sure I see the value, unless Wynn creates some exclusive vibe to the place.

I'd rather go to some place like Twin Peaks and drop a Hundy on F&B watching the game. The only thing I see as like able thus far is geographically convenient if I am staying at Wynncore. I mean I am not cabbing it to that place if I am staying somewhere else .

I was in Vegas on a Thursday night two years ago and we had a group of like five of us at Lagasse's and had a couch area outside where we were able to spend a few hours watching the NFL game and a couple of big college games and, IIRC, we had to spend $100 minimum for the whole group. Sounds like so much of a better deal than this Wynn BS. I would like to check out Lavo sometime, which also looks a lot nicer than this joke Steve has created.

I could easily see this space appealing to some of the older generations from 8-11 and then the younger crowd from 11-4. You'd think with all the flat screens and games going on during the afternoons, it'd be open during the day too. I'm betting he expands the hours of operation.

I know my wife and I enjoy having some drinks and small plates while watching a game at the Lobby Bar so I'd definitely go to this place for more of a fun vibe. Looks like the F&B min is for "game days" as I read it but either way, dropping $200 for 2 to eat and drink while watching a game would be pretty easy anywhere.
