PH, PARIS, or BALLY'S

Comes out to same rate. Haven't stayed recently at any of these. Which one should I choose?

PH -- Hip room
Paris -- Red Room
Ballys -- Jubilee tower

3. Ballys

 

All 3 are fine. None have a good pool. My wife and I are satisfied with Bally's but Paris is nicer. Never stayed at PH; we're not hip enough.

 

totally dependent on room type.......all 3 are comparable....most would rate Paris a notch above the other two

 

I can only speak to the Jubilee room at Bally's... larger room, extremely comfortable bed, fridge, coffee maker, shower (no tub)... I have stayed in them a few times and they are the first rooms I look to when going to LV. That being said, Ballys gaming floor doesn't have a good vibe for me, so I do the short inside walk over to Paris.

 

I spent Sunday and Monday at Paris Red Room...moved to Cosmo today......thankfully. I really disliked Paris room. AC wouldn't stay on and it was very worn looking and cramped. I'd go with Jubilee room at Ballys. That was definitely my last stay at Paris.

Bally's Jubilee by a mile.....with Paris Red Room 2nd choice

 

I would choose the Jubilee Room at Bally's. I was very happy there.

I love the Red Corner Room at Paris, but the last couple times I stayed there things like hallways, elevators, etc. were so shabby that I haven't gone back.

Planet Hollywood is ok, but every time I had a Hip Room reserved I got a complimentary upgrade to a Resort Room which I liked a lot. From what I have read about the Hip rooms, I am glad I got the upgrade.

 

I would put Paris first, Planet Hollywood and then Bally's. My wife and I really like Paris. Love the red rooms. Paris is a great location easy access to the strip and many restaurants. Really like the pool at Paris for some reason. Planet Hollywood's rooms dissapointed me somewhat. There was some chips on the desk and cabinet and just looked old. One nice thing is the miracle mile shop and Pinks and Earl of Sandwich. 2 restaurants that are reasonably priced and great. I don't like the pool at Planet Hollywood either. I have never stayed at Bally's but know people that have and said the rooms look very old and worn, but you can never go wrong staying in Vegas.

 

Booked a Red Room (says high floor, but whatever on that). Has a fridge, which is a plus. Like a cold one first thing in the morning! Total with the resort fee and taxes came out to about $55 a night for 6 nights (one night was still $130). I'll keep checking though. Thank you all for the input. I have stayed at PH and Bally's before, and honestly the rooms at Bally's seemed way nicer than PH, but that was a very small sample (2 stays at each). I hope Paris doesn't disappoint, and from what I have read, the Red Rooms are pretty sweet.

 

Had to stay at Ballys last two trips (Total Rewards has downgraded me!). I have stayed at the other two hotels for most of the last 10 years.

1. PH - rooms are modern and updated. And I like their casino the best.
2. Paris - rooms are OK, used to be great. They have not kept up.
3. Ballys - If you get an upgraded room, then maybe they rank higher. My last trip, I stayed in an old room; worst Vegas hotel room I have stayed in during the past 20 years.

 

Yeah, I just booked comp rooms at Paris for several days. Red room, high floor. I would like to try a Bally's Jubilee room, which I think would be nicer but there is that "no guarantee on room choice" at check-in and the regular rooms at Bally's are pretty lousy. My husband will be with me and I'm not willing to chance a lousy room with him. Picky, picky.

 

Don't think there's no guarantee on room choice at any hotel. I've never not got what I booked.

 

The Hip rooms at PH are small and dark, I'd rank that last. I've not stayed at Paris so can't speak to that option. The new Jubilee tower rooms at Bally's are quite nice, very updated and spacious. I'm biased since I stay there quite often, but I'd take the Jubilee room without a second thought.

 

1 - Paris (if you cant get a Jubillee room at Bally's). I've never stayed in a Red room however my last stay was in a "Nice Suite" and nothing could touch that (anniversary gift from my host). Aside from that the Paris regular rooms have always been decent. And I like their casino the best out of the 3. (PH just too damn loud!)
1 - Ballys - if you can get a Jubillee room. Sharper and newly appointed touches. 2 Bally - if you cant get a Jubille tower room
3 - PH Dark very dark rooms

 

Bally's is my favorite. The rooms are new and fresh, the casino is fun but not overly done in any sort of way. Its a short walk to my favorite spots and you always seem close to the action. I also like that you can easily walk into Paris through the adjoining tunnel.

PH is cool if you don't mind the loud casino and somewhat dark style enclosed room feel. On the upside the bathrooms are huge if you are coupled up. I like being attached to the mall and a short walk to Cosmo. I like PH as well.

Paris The eats are good, that is about all I like. I don't like the casino much, I don't think the Red Rooms are on par anymore for the price and the level of COMP status you have to attain, but the location is good as well. If you like a small casino feel and a very relaxed atmosphere it may be for you.

None of these are hateful and you can always bounce around. I find the PH Hip rooms a bit cave like, but that was my only disappointment with that place. If I were 10 years younger though I would deal with it just for the vibe of the casino.

 

Another vote for Bally's. I've stayed in comped Jubilee rooms on my last two trips. The room isn't fancy, but it's large for the strip, updated, and comfortable. I'm not a big fan of Bally's casino, but it's connected to Paris and easy walk to PH, Flamingo, Linq, CP, Bellagio, and even Cosmo really isn't far. Great location.

 

Plus it has the M station if you want to go to MGM and that area.

 

It's interesting that some refer to PH rooms as "small". At 450 square feet, they're larger than any of the other rooms I've stayed in.

 

PH is too hip for me.
Bally's in AC treats me well. Harrah's aint bad too.
Why not Monte Carlo, it's cheaper than Paris.
