    Hi

Can one of you enlightened vegasittes please explain the host position hierarchy of the ever elusive Hosts at CET/Total Rewards?

What is the difference between a Casino Host and a Casino Marketing Executive. Is the Casino Marketing Executive an inside sales telemarketer? Do they have any authority, do they work with Hosts? Do I have it backwards? I am assuming an Executive Casino Host is the highest and helps the most valuable players.

    Appreciate your experienced replies.

At CET properties it doesn't really matter as 99% of them suck, bad.

    lol, true.

But any title with Executive in it is higher than any title without it.

But the title of your host only matters if your play warrants the extra pull a higher level host might have in a tight situation.

All hosts have bosses who have to approve anything anyway. The weight a higher title bestows is more about getting you in the suite you want on a huge weekend when all the hosts are fighting over the same suites for their players.

But, who has more authority? What is the chain of command?

    Casino Host
    Casino Marketing Executive
    Executive Casino Host

and to whom do they report?

    Thanks,
    CindyS

I'm not sure either. I have a casino marketing executive that calls me and tells me about offers that i see and can book online. They don't seem to have any latitude at doing ANYTHING at all above what I can do myself. To me, they are useless.

Those are titles to the same position. A bigger title means they have bigger play targets and get paid more money. That's it.

There is no chain of command. They all have the same boss.

I usually seem to do better with my TR App or through the VIP reservation line. In the few times I called him, I have to point out either FP or other credits or promotions that I can see. Unless I want a suite or something special, I usually don't bother with him. Right now I am trying to book 7* retreat to Lake Tahoe for Valentines and I have been trying to contact him to work this out since 11/28. He left me a message yesterday that there are flight offers to Tahoe and suggested I don't need the 7* trip. What the heck, the 7* trip comes with $500 credit. Why would I burn that by not using it before expiration and take the free flight offer in my TR app with no add ons? I don't think he tries very hard and I am frustrated. I tried reaching out to another host and he just contacted my current Rep and told me if I didn't hear back, he would help me. I guess I am stuck for now.

Oh well, just have to wait. But very excited for Tahoe Trip. Did you know that 7* get 4 free lift tickets each year in Tahoe. Woo hooo!

I use Hunter as my host. While I usually just book offers I have online through him, he's been able to get me upgraded rooms that I couldn't get online. Like the website will give me any of the normal and luxury rooms at the Linq, but the Suite doesn't even show up. He booked me in the suite no problem. Plus he's able to do things like take charges off my room or get me a comp'd limo to the airport. So yeah, while on the surface it seems like he's just doing for me what the website can do, he's definitely proved valuable to have for the extra perks I've gotten.

I actually use a true casino host to book my stay, and he puts me in a nicer room than what is offered online. He also attaches deals that I have that are already offered to me. I don't ask him for any comps, only offers that I find on the website. But I think he does this for me because a friend of mine introduced me to him, and my friend plays at a much higher level than I. I meet up with my host during many of my stays just to say, "Hello!" One time I asked him about my play, and he said he hasn't looked up my play in a long time. It probably means that my play isn't really at a recognizable level. I know that he is in the high-limit area most of the time, and at other times he greets high-level players when they arrive and is available to them during their entire stay. So I am thankful to him for upgrading my rooms in any of the CET properties since I am only a Diamond player (not even an aspiration player), and he deals with 7-Stars players.

Yes, I tried to get Hunter. I think he has to respect my current host person. That is why I started this thread to see the difference between a Casino Marketing Executive, which is what I have and an Executive Casino Host which is what Hunter is. When I reached out to Hunter after not hearing back from my Casino Marketing Executive for over a week and three emails and 1 phone message, Hunter said he would ask my "Rep" to call me. He also said if the guy did not call me, he would take care of me himself, but the guy called and still doing a Sh*t job IMO. How hard is it to book a 7* retreat???

Just for the fun of it I asked to see a host when I was checking out of the Flamingo. I got there right as a guest was going round and round and round with the houst. After about ten or so minutes it was my turn and I asked if anything could be done for me- I had a buffet and a Margaritaville lunch on my room. She said all she could do was remove the buffet using reward credits. OK- worth try. When I got my bill upon checkout it showed that Flamingo owed me a buck and change. Not sure what happened- maybe the host decided to be kind since I didn't bitch about her using credits for the buffet? Or something got lost in the translation from host to check-out? At any rate, I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. And, I am a small time player.

Yes, a couple of weeks ago, I spent 4 nights at Caesars in Augustus Room, put a total of about $55k coin thru in $1 and $5 slots. Used a lot of TC along the way for stuff, had about $450 on my room charges when I went to the host to see my bill. I asked for a limo ride to the airport in 4 hours and they even asked me if I wanted to keep the room for another day as I wasn't leaving right away. I declined to keep the room and said I didnt need the extra comp but thanked him. I had about 120 TC left which he took and said he didn't even need to review anything. I left happy. That is why I know I am leaving Comp money on the table. I always get everything taken off at he back end, but I don't GO BIG. Maybe it would be nice to have an $85 dollar steak once in a while. :)

Edit. I also got $300 FP upfront with the comp room

If you want to work with Hunter instead, you just need to press.

No host will go after another host's player. But if you're the one to make it an issue you can get recoded.

    Shifter is right. Press.

Several years ago I had different hosts at different properties. Same old story, no callbacks, host turnover, switches, etc. I called Caesars VIP services and used a national host. I liked her so I sent her an email requesting her at all properties and now I'm coded to her at all CET casinos. Even the weird ones, like Cherokee and AkChin.

Thanks Shifter and Joaks. I emailed my host yesterday with 7* trip details as he requested. Called this morning, left message, called again at 4 because he gets off at 6, left another message trying to see if he got my email from yesterday. After all this still no call back. So many here seem to love Hunter. I am going to call him

For 7 star trip, they really just need to do some work and send the flight info to their passport travel department. If you put all of the details you need in the email to the host you will be better off. Exact flight times and flight numbers.

I have a local host that does great for trips to his place, but I always put all details in the email, so he can just forward to someone else to enter it all in. He just adds his note for me to be comped FB as well. I have some issues when he has to look into things, as I don't think he is very technical. Normally, he has someone else enter my stays into the system.

I use a regional host for trips like 7 star and level 2 trips that would need more detailed hands on by a host, as he is more technical.

I image setting up a 7 star trip requires them to find codes in the system, and get it all setup that way. Their system does not seem that easy to use and I have seen them having to go through many pages to find the proper codes like 7 star meal. My theory is some hosts are just more advanced in using their system than others. The ones that aren't good, don't like to deal with it.

Wow. I can't believe you are seven star and can't get your host to help you. That is ridiculous. I would be livid. I work with Hunter, also, and am super happy with him. He is a great guy. I am nowhere NEAR his high level players, but feel he takes really good care of us.

Agreed 100%. He's made my Vegas trips go from great to exceptional. I appreciate the little things and he's definitely done what he can to make my experience better than it already was. He even called me last week to invite me to the Planet Hollywood New Years Party but sadly, Vegas twice in a three week period is something I couldn't swing with work! Maybe next year!
