    My Trip Report

So having a little trouble sleeping, so figured with all the big boys trip reports wrapping up, I would start mine up. Flying in on Monday via Delta and scheduled to arrive at 4PM and staying comped at The Cromwell. I am going to with my wife and another couple who have been to Vegas a handful of times. This trip is going to be a little different than you may be used to from me, in the sense we have quite a bit planned. After reading BeeeJay's and PP's trip reports, maybe it's a good thing to have a few different things planned other than gambling. I will break down the trip in a pre trip report style for you.

    Monday, December 7th
After landing wife and I plan on checking in at Cromwell, while the other couple checks in at Ballys. After that the night is pretty much wide open, but I think something to eat is first on the agenda as this is a must or I will be homeless drunk before 7PM. I may go see my buddy Po down at Ballys sportsbook bar and get him to make me a Povert (his signature drink). I also plan to play at TAG Bar at Linq to sip on some Not Your Fathers Rootbeer. From there it could be ride overlooking the city on the High Roller, some cocktails in O'Sheas, night cap at Sullys Bar.

    Tuesday, December 8th
Day is pretty wide open, but I usually end up pretty drunk on night one, so a trip to Qua may be a great hangover cure and a great way to keep the wife happy. Going to have a late lunch some where and maybe just some strip crawling. We are going to hit up Mandarin Bar for some appies and a bottle of wine, then on to Zarkana at Aria for the late show. I may add that we got our tickets off of MyVegas and I was surprised they were mid range tickets and not the cheapest ones possible. Think I will play some at the infamous row 802 in Aria or head on over to Queue at Cosmo, again finishing up at Sullys Bar in Ballys.

    Wednesday, December 9th
Wife wants to go to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, so we may again have to use MyVegas tickets to go see it. I don't think she's seen south of NYNY or MGM, so may just go for a walk. In fact I don't think I've been that far south in half a dozen years either. Tonight we have a reservation at Andiamo at the D and I am looking forward to a great meal. I have some free play to use at The D and the Golden Gate to use up. I think I will have to hit up the full pay bar tops at the 4 Queens Bar that is right off of Fremont Street.

    Thursday, December 10th
Pretty open during the day, thinking about hitting up Peppermill for brunch and maybe over to Wynncore for a Sinatra Smash. We are heading back downtown again tonight to the Neon Museum. I tried to get the tickets for a night tour on the Wednesday, but they were sold out, so Thursday it is. With all the bar top VP downgrades, drink system vouchers, etc on the strip, I find myself wanting more and more to be on Fremont to gamble. I need to maybe check out the Golden Nugget more I think as they have the only place I would stay at during pool season. I have a couple host cards from the D/Golden Gate, but just haven't reach the point of wanting to stay an entire trip there. After the Neon Museum we plan on hitting up Triple 7 Brew Pub or Dupars for dinner and some more bar tops.

    Friday, December 11th
Friday is looking like breakfast at Giadas and then off the airport for a noon flight home.

As you can see this is quite a bit more planning then I usually have, but it's nice to not just drink and gamble for 4 days straight. The 30% exchange rate for the Canadian dollar is a contributing factor as well. I plan on using Uber and Lyft for some of trips to Fremont. I will have tapatalk on the go and will try to update as much as possible. Gambling will be mostly VP and most of the VP being Bartops. Going to be playing STP and Triple Bonus Poker Plus whenever possible, as Tring got me hooked on it. I may try to get the wife to hit a craps table with me as she has never rolled. As much I have planned, I assure you that there will still be lots of drinking and gambling, with the updates to match. Hope you enjoy the read and look forward to the usual pretrip banter.

having your missus, in tow, always has an appreciable effect on your behaviour I have found

always a +ev on your bankroll, though said bankroll might get wasted on shows or, shudder the thought, buying crap like new shoes and bags

Hope you have a great trip. I'll be following along. If you go to Queue I'd love an update on any drink ticket situation. I arrive the day after you leave so try to leave a little money for me. [emoji14]

Suekel I will definitely check this out! I would normally play at Bond, but with that new drink ticket thing there is no chance

Have a fun and profitable trip macker!! After reading all about VP on this forum I finally decided to play for some serious hours at Centre Bar at NYNY. I enjoyed myself immensely (solo trip) and got overserved daydrunk (or, in your terms, homeless drunk) and just about broke even (actually, come out ahead if you include all the alcohol imbibed).

So I understand the appeal of a good VP bar now!

Probably just drink a bottle of wine with with wife and pack while watching a Vegas movie. Have Mississippi Grind and Ant Man loaded on my IPad for flight.
