Hijacking my own thread (not sure if a similar one exists): When I was winning at craps and playing for a while, I asked the pit boss if I could get a buffet comp. He said pit bosses can't do that anymore (since September), that I'd have to go to the casino host since only they can do that now. Since I had hit all the numbers up top (two-way $10 bet on all small, all tall, and all numbers) the dealers got over a $1,000 in tips, I don't think he would BS me. A pit boss at BJ said the same the previous day.

so you're saying at the aria the pit bosses can't give out compled meals? wow, maybe you should move to another casino that might appreciate your betting more. I know many downtown casinos the pit bosses will give out comped meals if you play enough.

Yes, I don't hear of people being reimbursed much if their chips got stolen.

They stopped that years ago when they instituted ECs.

The idea is you comp yourself the meal and a pit boss doesn't have to get involved.

Not sure how that has anything to do with how much the casino appreciates your play.

Good to know. Actually my problem is that I'm mostly a red chip player so I hardly qualify for comps, for me asking the pit boss it will be more up to his/her discretion to (feel sorry for me, lol) give me a comp meal. I probably wouldn't even qualify for a comp if I played at the Aria.

No matter since I mostly only play at $5 tables so that means that I play mostly downtown.

I'm a low level BJ player and at CET properties the pit almost always writes me a comp slip when my play merits it.

not in vegas they cant in fact they have to us your rc credits first before any other comps and only a host can do that.

cet doesnt do paper comps like that. if your stayingat any cet prop it gets charged to your room. if not a host has to take care of it after u use your rc credits first.its very hard to have them comp anything with out using ur rc credits first

I've been offered (unsolicited) a buffet pass by pit bosses at the Encore craps tables several times. I'm no High Roller - $15-20 pass w/full odds (before they went 2X:rolleyes2:) and $60 placed on the 6 and 8 - but I'm reasonably friendly and I do tip well.

Of course, I haven't been there since they remodeled the buffet so I don't know if they give them away so easily these days.

Haha sorry man but it in fact happens at CET properties, I got one last week in AC. Perhaps things have changed in Vegas but to say it doesn't happen at CET properties in general is incorrect lol. I've had many times where my RC are well below a buffet but notwithstanding I'll get something arbitrary like $30 towards a buffet. Always amused by blanket statements.

Shifter, I thnk as of Dec 15 no more EC for table players ( not that we ever got too many xpress comps anyway at the tables) it seems like the low to mid table player ($25-$200 ) is getting less & less appreciated. The slot players get it all

"CET doesn't so paper comps like that. If your staying at any CET prop it gets charged to your room". Apparently I need better reading comprehension but I digress. Night :)
