Just got back from Vegas and had never played it before, but I can't see playing regular single hand VP ever again as long as I can find a 100 hand machine. I started playing just 1 cent a hand, but then went up to 5 cents (so $5 a bet) and it was crazy fun - but really shows you how rare getting a royal flush is.

One session I played for probably two hours straight and ended up about $300 - never got a royal or straight flush on my dealt hand (a couple four of a kind), but did pull 6 royals when dealt King through 10 of hearts (dropped a jack).

Playing that fast, $5 a hand seemed like a lot, but you pretty much always get back about $1.80, so it's really a $3.20 a hand game, in my opinion. Love the feeling of getting dealt three of a kind or two pair and cashing in on 100 hands.

Yeah I played this while waiting for my room at Rio. Only played 1 cent version but I was able to get attentive drink service and hold my own for quite a long time. Good game if you want to just get drinks. Love listening to the different chimes for the different hands won. Also, tallying up 100 hands takes a while, so it slows down the leak. Played next to my brother, who is not a gambler, but even he had fun with it.

I've played it every time I go to Vegas and have never had a royal or a straight flush. Without those, your credits dwindle even faster. For $5, I'd rather play single line dollars and hope for a few quads. The payout is so much more and the bet is the same value. Personal opinion, of course.

My wife is addicted to these machines. May not play the full 100 hands, but will do 25-50 from time to time. There are not many of them around.

Few at P-Ho. Handful at Harrahs.

My wife hit two Royal Flushes on a penny 100 plays on a couple days ago. $2.50 each!

Being a math guy, I like to see the variance in play on the 100 play machines. For example, if you have 4 to a flush and you draw 1, you have a 9/47 chance to hit your flush and with the 100 play you can see how close to the theoretical you get.

Paris has a bank of 4 machines, 2x 50 play and 2x 100 play between Gustav's and the Eiffel Tower restaurant.

I think MGM has full pay according to VPfree, but Tring would be the go to for this and all things VP related.

I would like to see them develop 500 play video poker (or possibly even 1000 play)

They are coming out with Hundred Million Play - you get to play one hand and that's it for life.

Thank you. I looked through this via VPFree2.

Technically the MGM games are 50-play, but they are full pay dollars (with optional "Quick Quads").

The only place left in town with 100-play 9/6 JoB (99.54%) is Cosmo for at the 50c and $1 level.

8/5 Bonus (99.17%) 100-play exists at (cheapest denomination)
    Aria (dollars)
    Bellagio (dollars)
Cosmo (quarters HL) (also for dimes on the main floor!)
    Palms (quarters)
    Silverton (nickels)
    South Point (nickels)
    Tropicana (dimes)

Bellagio and Cosmo also offer 9/6 DDB (98.98%) for 100 play.

    :evillaugh

The drawback to a game like this in theory is a dealt hand is even more valuable. So the game often boils down to getting dealt quads or better for the big score, and not so great results other sessions. And unless you allow rounding of pennies, then $25 is the min bet for all the lines if you want to have the full pay royal.

And I'm assuming OP got 6 royals by drawing one card? The wording is tripping me up. That's a nice pull though, the average number of royals hit when drawing one card to it is 100/47 = 2.13.

That I know of, Palms has 9/6 JoB in pennies (5 cents a hand for full royal) - at least on 50-play!

The California has two 50 play machines and I play them every trip. One nice thing is the machines give 1 point per dollar so you can rack up the points on those machines.

Yeah full pay 50-plays are a bit more prevalent I believe.

Playing this way makes sense if you are looking to long some time while gaining tier credits/drinks, but if your looking for a total hit and run, then lower the lines and increase the limits.

Assuming the pay tables are equal - tier credits and wins/losses would be identical on single line or 50 lines if the bet per hand(s) is the same. (100 lines at .05 vs 5 line at $1) Either way, it is a $5 bet.

Not my style. A $40 royal won't make my day, but a $4000 one would. Same $5 bet.

Not true at all, because 1 line is win/lose and 50 line you would draw to some winning hands thereby eliminating the all or none. I am assuming the paytables are identical.
