    My Trip Report

One more sleep. Let's Do This!

Heading out to the shiny oasis in the desert tomorrow on another solo adventure. Solo by circumstance, not by choice..would love to travel with others but shockingly have no Vegas-loving friends!! Whaaaat?? I know, how is this possible? I've been solo many, many times to Vegas and love the freedom to go with the flow. Truly going for some much needed R&R, maybe pool time if the weather cooperates??

Looks like there are lots of VMBers in town this weekend. I'll be wearing my trusty wristband (thank you, Sonya) so if you see a blonde with the green wrist-bling say hi! Would love to make new friends!

    Here's the plan-
    - Flying United EWR to LAS
    - Staying encore tower suites (casino rate + eUpgrade) - interested to see the new "refreshed" rooms..
    - Renting a car with Enterprise.
    - Low Roller $2k bankroll for 4 nights - most of which will be played at craps and roulette tables on the north end of the strip... Maybe BlackJack if I'm feeling lucky. Last trip was in June and came home even/slightly up, which is a trend with me.. Let's see if we can make a significant change to that pattern, shall we?
    - Room includes 2 buffets every day - not a huge buffet chick but am interested to see the new Wynn Buffet opening this weekend. Will share pics and info on that.
    - I'm a foodie - so excited to get back to my fav Vegas restaurants (stay tuned) and try some new ones (Sinatra!). Been starving myself of carbs and sugar for a month to prepare for the inevitable carb overload (are there carbs in red wine?)
    - Encore Spa-hoping my usual massage therapist will be there!
    - Caesars Qua spa - will do a day pass to check it out.
    - Casino hopping down the strip (and back up the strip, of course)
    - Container park - gonna make it there this time..maybe.
    - Red Rock - off strip local casino action
    - Fremont casino hopping..maybe if I get up there

My right palm has been itchy all day which I believe the superstition is that $$ is coming your way, right?? Well wishes welcomed and appreciated!

    Time to pack!

Sounds great! Looking forward to reports on the refreshed rooms, and buffet.

Not sure I could do two Wynn buffets a day! :)

Sounds like you have a great trip planned! I too am a spa goer. Encore and Qua are my favorites in Vegas, frankly anywhere in the country! I'm just a few days behind you checking into the Encore Tower Suites and eating at the Wynn buffet so I'm anxious to see photos and hear your reviews! Please let us know if the daily slot tournament (with 2 free buffets) for 500 daily points is going on while you are there. I hope so!

Thanks Flowers! Encore spa is the best.. Mandarin used to be by second fav but had a bad experience there last trip and really have no intention of going back there. Excited to try Qua! Will keep you informed!

Thanks for following along! From what I've read online, the room refresh is pretty tame but looking forward to something new even if it is just tech and sheets. I've stayed in those suites most of my trips and just can't seem to stay anywhere else. Maybe one day the Cosmo will steal me away from the Wynn..I do go to the buffet every time I'm in town, but usually once because I save my appetite for more alluring restaurants. But I am intrigued by the new buffet and will certainly report back on opening day [emoji3]

I'm looking forward to following along. I also travel to Vegas mostly solo. I always get the hair and nails done right before the trip too. I hope you have excellent luck and have a relaxing and enjoyable trip!

Have a great trip! I love the "girlie" rituals too, had my hair cut & colored Thursday and the mani/pedi is Tuesday. Will be following along.

    Room refresh update:
Settled into my room and had a look around for subtle updates. Here's the scoop-
    1. Touch panels for all of the lighting & curtains
    [IMG]
    2. There are 3 of these pop-up electricity/USB stations - each end table and the desk
    [IMG]
    3. The swivel TV is beautiful - definitely an improvement. But no change to the one in the bathroom?? [IMG]
    4. Is it just me or do these slippers look plusher than usual? [IMG]
    5. Bedding is the same but I think the sheets are nicer..

    All in all nice-to-have improvements.
