I don't suspect they will lose much business over it. Times are tough for the smaller casinos, gotta do what you gotta do. I know that will be my first nights dinner place, king cut prime rib meal.

That's too bad, but it remains a good deal. That was a large beer they were including with that special.

Drink service on the floor at EI has been good, in my experience. I wonder if one could just get a comped beer playing VP or BJ, then bring it in to dinner? (I sort of assume you could.)

Also, LVA claims it's $7.99 again. It wasn't $7.99 when I went last time in Feb.. I thought it was $8.99 with the player's card. Still worth it, imo.

That probably is the players card rate, but you have to play $5 through slots/VP and then print out a voucher at the kiosk to get it at 7.99 price.

Was there last week and we were charged for beers. Oddly, the server said something like "oh, I forgot to get your beers" (we'd walked in with beers from the lounge) took our order etc, then they were on the bill.

Not bothered really, as it's still a great deal. Seemed like it had just changed though.

We did do that. I thought it lowered it from $9.99 to $8.99. I easily could be mistaken though.

    From the June LVA

ELLIS Island made some changes to its menu, as well as in the requirement for getting the 24/7 steak dinner at the lowest price. The base price on the steak has been raised by $1 to $12.99, but everyone can swipe a players card to get a $3 discount to $9.99. You used to be able to lower the price to $7.99 by playing $1 in a machine, however, that requirement has been raised to $5

We've done that before ....grab one at the bar and proceed into supper. No qualms from our server. Still an awesome deal though
