They aren't bad. They are very thin. I usually get one most trips. Goes great with a $1 beer.

I don't think you should be hoping for "good" when buying a foot-long hot dog for a dollar in Vegas. "Tastes okay" and "doesn't kill me" would be my goals.

I recall many years ago getting one of those foot long 1 pound hot dogs at Circus Circus - I think it was for a dollar or a buck and a half or something....One of the worst things I think I ever ate, and continues to be so to this day :licklips: I'm sure the dogs at CR can't be as bad :yuck:

    That's certainly the main goal.

My gf is willing to eat a lot of crappy hot dogs. Casino Royale is one of the few times I've heard her say "never again".

Much, much better option (not in the immediate neighborhood, of course): the $3 Nathan's Famous hotdog and beer (Bud Light?--something non-craft, to be sure) at the Stage Door casino behind the Cromwell.

The Westward Ho had a 3/4 pound hot dog special, we are talking twelve ounces of tube steak. I think it was about a buck fifty. I watched a sixty year old lady try to eat this without giving the appearance of a professional. After two bites she went for the for the fork and knife and totally killed the vibe.

My brother routinely ate the dogs at Casino Royale and survived, with regrets. If you want a better plan, DO NOT be hungry at Casino Royale.

It's a beef dog and pretty tasty. Better food option there would be White Castle........grab a sack and head over to the bar for $1 Michelob's. :evillaugh

No, they are not that good but they do hit the spot when drinking $1 beers.

They are nothing compared to the old slots a fun or Ho foot longs.

I was going to suggest White Castle as a joke until I saw this post... If people tell you that the food is better at White Castle, then you know it's crap at Casino Royale.

A little known fact is that at casino royale you can get draft beer for 75 cents. For those that don't like Michelob a coors light might hit the spot for you.

Thanks. Will surely try a dog/beer. Play poker at Flamingo but have always walked past CR. Will also try some of the old slots. Do they have any wild cherry ones

If the hot dogs smell anything like the rest of CR, I would stay away.

I don't think I will have a hot dog there, but we seem to do better at CR than anywhere else when it comes to gambling...

If you play often at CR, ask about your comp balance. They'll comp you at Denny's or Outback and we always have comp dollars available there...this trip, we used them at Outback.

There's a food court between CR and Harrahs. It's got chipotle, McDonald's, Panda Express (I think) and some Italian place.
