    My Trip Report

Visiting Minneapolis-St. Paul for a business meeting. Great cities and great people everywhere! Landed at Mystic Lake Casino. Once again, excellent casino, friendly staff, free Pepsi !!, lots of fun!

Popped $20 in a Willie Wonka Pure Imagination slot and here's what happened... image.jpeg

$2040 hand pay...full wilds at 5x!!!. Had to wait awhile for paperwork to clear and money to arrive, but staff was pretty efficient as I did not have my ss card and had to fill out forms. I took my winnings and then decided to visit the high limit room....inserted $40... And Boom!!

    image.jpeg image.jpeg

$3200 from a $10 WOF machine. Needless to say, I took my five grand in cash and hightailed it out of there and back to the hotel! Treated myself to a high end Mexican place at the hotel and called it a night. Face timed my wife and showed her the 5k on the bed....needless to say that she was very excited and made sure that I had a secure plan to transport said 5k home safely!

All in all, the best business trip that I ever took!

Sorry about the pix!!...I'll fix them later

Congrats. I can't ever hit anything there, except the buffet. I should also probably stop chasing the pull tab boxes there with 10,000 tabs.

    Wow!!!!! Excellent!

The WOF was a single $10 coin machine?

Congrats! I enjoy Mystic Lake myself, but I am still awaiting that first hand pay. Now I think I will head out there this evening for some dinner and degen. Thanks!

My friend is Platinum Elite there and gets a 2 room suite every Saturday night (and any other time he wants) I visit him about once a month but with the absolutely horrid VP there I only practice on the BP nickle machines....1 coin at a time just to keep my fast VP pace ready for real Full Pay VP machines in DT Vegas that are worth playing.

Go get a powerball ticket that doesn't happen there too often.

I could be mistaken, but there might actually be a state law limiting the maximum payout on video poker. Crazy.

Correct - max on VP is 98% and slots 95%. Progressives are exempt so you can find VP that is playable at times if you visit regularly.

I initially bit my tongue on the topic, but as mentioned by Mnracer, MN unfortunately has these laws. Many other states do as well, but their laws typically cap slot/VP payouts at 100%, which is acceptable, imo. Some states that have this law (might be missing a few) CO, IA, IL, IN, LA, MD, MI, MS, PA, WI.

40(SF)/10/6 DDB (99.96%) was likely designed with the 100% law in mind. Traditional 50(SF)/10/6 DDB is 100.07%.

Congrats! You experienced "Minnesota Nice" with the bonus of taking Mystic Lake for all that dough! And the Pepsi products...
We've enjoyed many a concert or comedian at Mystic Lake, but have never won more than just gas money for the trip home!
    Good job!

Is Mystic Lake still a "dry" casino?

Nope, they have booze now. They've built a few bars and the servers will bring you drinks too. Last time I was there CW no longer took chips as payment, cash/credit only.

$7 a drink tried donking off part of vegas BR there yesterday. Thankfully 10 handed bonus poker and the big green machine gave me a little cab fare for next weekend
