Hi, I was wondering when the best time to go to Vegas was:
    1. Non peak times of the year (Fewest tourists)
    2. Different hotel displays.
    3. Cheapest time of the year to go.

    Thanks

Sounds like you are describing late Nov thru late Dec.

My favorite times are late October through mid-November (my upcoming trip) and mid to late April. Both are perfect times of the year to go.

No fair trick question. Anytime is a good time to go. Late April was good temps warming at leas teeter than Wisconsin pools are open but not crowded. Maybe my favorite. Also liked September early like the last chance for hot temps, before Wisconsin fall and winter.

Unless things have changed significantly, the week(s) after NFR and before Christmas in December. hotel displays are Christmassy (sic), most shows are dark, and vegas is relatively dead. This year it would be around the week of Dec 14.
I've done it one time on the cheap. Didn't bother me because I'm there to gamble vs watch shows and such.

During the NFR isn't that bad either. Car rental can be high but other than that if you aren't at a partner hotel it's pretty reasonable. A other sweet spot I've found is the week or two before the Super Bowl.

This is my answer to "When is the best time to go anywhere?"

To the OP's question, if you are looking for lower rates and smaller crowds, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas, with the exception of during National Finals Rodeo, is hard to beat.

Used to be over the holidays, right before and during Christmas, but lately it seems that crowds are increasing. Still, the weather is usually better than it is here.

The times we seem to get the best offers are right before the holidays and the hottest part of summer.

I'm really hoping Nov 22 - 27 over thanksgiving is slowwwww. That is why I'm going then!!
I've only gone over March Madness...I want the complete opposite of that week.

Actually probably best to find out when the big conventions and special events (like super bowl and march madness) are and avoid those times. Prices will usually vary depending on what's going on. Hard to really say when is the best and cheapest times to visit as that will vary. While Dec is a little slow you have the NFR which brings in a crowd (so best to avoid that week if possible). After the new years and big CES electronics show vegas slows down a little until the build up to super bowl.

Actually some hotel web sites will give you their rates for the year (or half year) so you can check there to see which weeks and days are cheaper than other days. That is usually a good indicator that something may be going on at the time.

I've been at every season. I used to check the LVCVA convention calendar but now hardly bother. If you are coming or going with a huge convention cabs can be a problem, but not hard to plan around. If you are on the Strip avoid any time when school is out, especially spring break, you are dealing with every family that can't swing a vacation without the kids. Downtown is less of a problem, but avoid any holiday where idiotic behavior is encouraged.

If you are not tied to specific dates just pull up a hotel rate calendar and you will quickly spot the days in high demand. On my own I am always in on Sunday evening and out on Thursday or Friday morning. I love walking out of the plane feeling fresh on Sunday and walking past the worn out folks littering the floor at McCarran.

The only months I haven't traveled to Vegas are February-April. Out of all the months, my favorite time to go is November-December. The weather is perfect, the casinos have some cool displays and the rates seem to be some of the best I've found.

    Two times.

1st week of the NFL season (early September, the weekend after labor day
1st week of the NBA playoffs (Last week of April)

Point being, both of these dates are during pool season too. I go every year at this time to bet heavy on my Wizards and Redskins.
