DH & his buddies like to go to Bentleys but that would run us about $160 each way for 4 cabs (about the same to rent a limo/bus with driver tip--the more likely choice). Might be worth it.
We would like to find a place downtown that is big enough for us. Sports books aren't set up as well as sportsbars (and the only sportsbook I can think of downtown is the much too small Nugget, where we are all staying).
What about the brewery's at Main Street Station or 4 Queens? Big enough? Anywhere else..
    Thanks!
(this is the Nov. 4 Michigan State game--likely won't be pretty...some of us might end up saying forget it anyway!!)

Fellow Nebraska fan here. Rough year. I think the Plaza sports book would give you guys enough room, especially if it's an early game and you get there early. That's about all I can think of for a group that large. Hope you guys have a fun time. :peace:

Consider Nacho Daddy. They have room to seat 15 together and quite a few TVs.

777 at Main Street Station would be the best bet. Great TV's fantastic beer and plenty of room.

Depends on the time of day. Plaza because nobody goes there, 777 because it is probably the largest, 4Q is so small you'd take all of their seats. Bennys Bullpen at Binion's might be able to carve out a section if they are open. I would see someone at 777 or Binion's on the day before about reserving some tables.

To my recollection plaza sports book is a tad crowded on game days.... and not really a good place to sit together.

Maybe try the new bar at Fremont, Filament. They have 5 or 6 big screens and a decent beer selection. The sports book is also just around the corner. Just another option.

The thing about 777 is I don't think they open any earlier than 11AM, even on Game Day Saturday. Michigan St probably wouldn't be the 9 AM game this season, but you never know.

When I was there they were not open for the early CFB games. So it depends on the game time.

Another vote for 777 depending on game time.

Filament and the longbar are both viable options, but sitting together would be a challenge at either place.

Last January our small crew was in a quandary as we sought out a place where we could sit and watch NDSU capture its 4th straight national title. I think the game started at 10 AM. Some of the women with us asked the bartender at the Grotto Bar in the Gold Nuggett about watching it there. He said it was not open that early but since he would be there preparing to open that he would let us in for our own little party. Sure enough, on game day we went there and he said to just step over the rope and come on in! I suppose our group grew to 12 or 15 with a couple stragglers who happened to come along and saw what game we were watching. Fun was had by all and the bartender was tipped very well and he even got us a round when it was over. We were not even staying at that hotel but the hospitality was appreciated.

Starts at 7PM. We thought we would scout some things out on Thursday. I just worry that if we limo to Bentleys we are going to need to be mighty early with such a big crowd & that the limo cost will be the LEAST of our concerns:drunk::beer: Plus I'd prefer an easy escape if (when...) things go sour...

Great crowd, we will have fun--though not likely during the game...

Pizza Rock would be able to acommodate your group. You could try booking the Chef's table in advance. It's semi private with two televisions. They have good selection of beers as well. The restaurant is located on 3rd street next to the Downtown Grand.
I'm not sure about the tv situation at Hennessey's or Mickie Finnz (I hate Mickie Finnz personally) but those might be options as well.

Yeah, with the tanking of the season, we are thinking we might not be so worked up to be SURE to see it...

I get how you guys feel. Roughest year in my 40+ years of being a 'Husker fan. If you're committed to downtown viewing I'd say 777 @ MSS or Plaza. Hope you guys have fun!!!
