I was looking at Packer's thread about Halloween, what a great looking time for everybody.

Made me think about stuff I enjoy even though it's a sort of a kid thing, like Halloween, which I love.

Two that came to mind for me, the Minions, I am almost sixty and they just absolutely crack me up. Even the quick commercials make me smile.

The other is Disneyland, I was on a business trip in February in the LA area and had a full free midweek day.....went to Disneyland. I rode Pirates Of The Carribean, Matterhorn, Haunted Mansion, did back to back to back Space Mountain rides with no line, ate a corndog, and had a blast. Felt sort of like a dork, but managed to get over that quickly.

    ...... and Red Vines......

Anybody else have kid things trapped in a mortgage paying car payment home owners insurance body ?

Uh...how about all of the stuff I enjoy?

Teddy Grahams, 20-something women, married women (oh God that's the main vice I should give up), dinner after I finish drinking at 3 am, not wanting to bother moving into management despite their exhortations.

So yeah. I'm pretty much a grand sum total 19 year old, except in actual age.

I've always felt that finding new things to enjoy makes you young. I'm chasing the big 50 next year and still enjoy finding new music, going to concerts and learning new things.

A co-worker is maybe 4 years older and he seems like some ancient. Technology scares him, he hasn't heard a new song in 20 years. It's sad.

Yeah, some college kids may make fun of me, but screw them, I'm having fun and staying in suites.

My music definitely skews younger nowadays, due mostly to my lady. I'm pretty sure none of my friends have any idea what schizoid pop/ukulele screamo is. l-/

I'm 31 but still act like I'm 21 . I still love to go out and drink a few times a week, get hammered on the weekends, stay up late and sleep in. I never wants to have kids, and don't really see the point of marriage, although I do have a g/f of 3 years. I really wanna go back to Disneyland, last time I was there I was 13 and I think it'd be pretty cool to go again.

I'm gonna pay off my last student this month which will make me 100% completely debt free and it's gonna feel sooooo good. After that my only expenses for the month will be rent for $495, utilities/internet around $100, cell phone $60, and car insurance for $55. That will make for all kinds of extra money for Vegas!

The secret is to keep in practice, although it's probably not a good idea to keep doing everything you did when you were 19. I slowed way down on the drinking after college. Nobody I know who didn't slow down is in good shape now. Some are dead.

I'm 43 and a few years ago found myself at 250+ pounds. Started Crossfit and have gotten down below 210, now I'm the old guy at the gym lifting heavy weights with guys half my age. Always surprises them.

Besides that....I've got a reputation for going from 43 to 21 again via shots and beer! Jaeger bombs are my weakness. Give me 3 or 4 and I'm Frank the Tank ;) encouraging the 'kids' to keep up! I just don't recover like I used to.

Many things actually. My music taste is far from my age of 50, I still am a metal head at heart and in all likelihood will be forever. I still love watching cartoons, old and new stuff and am a big fan of anime, mainly in the DBZ type genre. I love still training MMA even if the aches and pains of four days a week last longer than ever, well they never go away actually LOL, when they say fighter are never 100% the day of a fight believe it. I still love doing the Halloween thing every year, part because I love scaring folks, more the adults it seems now than the kids though, heres this year getups

Several more things I truly believe your only as old as you act.

Cartoons. I can watch Family Guy, American Dad and South Park all night...and I'm retired. I don't watch any regular shows like sit-coms or reality shows. So, when the subject of television shows comes up I always get strange looks when I tell them I only watch cartoons.

I honestly don't believe I've matured much past about 25 or so (I'm 57 now). To be fair, I was pretty mature at 25 (married and owned my own business), but though I look every bit of 57... inside, I've managed to stay and think pretty young. I'm actually kinda proud of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those old-dudes down at ReHab and I hope I don't make an idiot outta myself at places (at least most of the time), but I'm more comfortable in a younger environment, because they're usually more upbeat and positive... too many older folks are sooooo depressing with their negativity about seemingly EVERYTHING!

I can easily eat off the kids menu most places and be totally be happy (corn-dogs, grilled-cheese, fish sticks, etc.), I still enjoy cartoons and some Three-Stooges on occasion. I walked by a traveling carnival the other day and saw bumper-cars and thought how cool... I LOVE bumper-cars! I (we) go to concerts for bands whose members were born in the late 80's and some even in the 90's. I even still like to eat the roses off birthday cakes! I don't have any tattoo's, but I sure admire them.

I dress my age and like I said, sure look 57, but I don't mind wearing a Nixon (no... not the President) watch or enjoying the X-Games!!!

    I'm 50...

I love to drink wine, smoke weed, listen to metal, and build plastic scale models. Not in any particular order.
Oh, and rock concerts. We flew to Chicago this summer just to see AC/DC.

Great thread Camp Rusty.. Pass this comment as it will probably bore you.
I have a lot to say on this one but I'm too old and I will forget most of it. Lol..
You say "Stuff you enjoy and are supposedly too old for".. There is a lot for me..
If you would ask both of my ex's they would day I'm 12 years old. Lol. Personally I think that is a good thing. If you take life too seriously and are stressed about everything you WILL be old before your time. I physically feel 30, mentally feel my age but in able to adapt to any age really. (Im 50ish) I can be a 7 year old or at least understand where they are coming from or a 80 year old and understand them as well. 13, 14 and 15 is tough but I get them. You see this isn't a preview, run through or a test. This is it! Our lives are over in a flash! So don't stress the little things. I'm supposed to be too old for cartoons (Fred Flintstone and George Jetson should have won an Emmy! Gilligan too by the way) , Halloween, Hanukkah/Christmas, crayons, mac and cheese, dancing, riding mini bikes, playing hide and seek, tag, ditch, over the line (baseball), roasting marshmallows, jumping on bouncy beds, playing laser tag, disco music, eating a ten pack of titos tacos, fat burger (triple chili cheese jalapeno egg burger on the char broiler), quaaludes (which are no more), X, heroin (only kidding on those two) slam dunking a basketball, Disneyland 3 times a year, drinking to get drunk, gambling your rent/mortgage away (actually, that one I might be too old and too smart for and don't recommend it), attending concerts, sporting events and a multitude of other things. I say no! I will continue to enjoy the above as best I can. Although, I must say the recuperating time is much much longer now. It is now all about moderation. What makes it easier for me is I have a 7 3/4 year old little boy and he helps me to keep young. I also have some VMBers who help me with some of the other stuff!
You are only as old as you want to be mentally and you can be mature without being old. I say adapt to whatever age group you are around and just have fun.

Truth be told all of the above I enjoy but at my age and at this point in my life it is all about my little boy, health, family, good friends, paying the bills, golf, travel, Lost Wages, treating others as you want to be treated and believing in a higher being.

I'm in my late 30s. I love rock concerts, going to theme parks (Disney World, Universal, Six Flags, etc.), playing video games, going to comic book conventions, and partying in Atlantic City/Vegas. I'm probably too old for any of this, but I don't really care. My wife is on board with me, so we'll be immature together forever. LOL!

My list is way too long, but a few quickies off the top of my head: cartoons, candy, rap music, old school video games, Disney World, and generally acting like a goofball

I remember going to concerts when I was 15-16 years old and seeing some "old man" (probably only 25 now that I look back on it) and thinking, what's that old dude doing at a Motley Crue show. Well I'm 48 now and I'm that OLD DUDE at the concerts! Last show I saw was Five Finger Death Punch last month and brought my two oldest sons. I wanted so bad to go into the pit and show my boys how it's done, but THAT I am too old for! LOL Also love roller coasters, most of the animated Pixar/Disney movies, Wii Guitar Hero, my Harley, wearing hockey jerseys and just acting like a kid with my kids, keep me young at heart anyway. My kids are everything, someday I hope they realize that.:peace:

Absolutely! I'm 55 and recently retired. I enjoy music from and go to concerts of artists from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s. I love steel suspension roller coasters and ziplines. I love dressing up for Halloween and eating Halloween candy. I love my Legos and Buckyballs. People always guess me to be younger - probably because I'm fidgety, klutzy, and petite.

    CARTOONS!

Obviously the animated adult (not porn you dirty bastards) Archer, ATHF, Simpsons, South Park etc.....

But if board I will turn on Tom and Jerry or Loony Toons.

Candy does not count.... who doesn't like candy UK :poke:

Um.. I am immature in my humor. That is how I can be a HS teacher. One a girl leaned over in the desk and the desk just fell over with her inside of it... my first reaction was to laugh.

If I am in a public bathroom and someone in the stall next to me farts.... I find it funny.
