    Hello,

I'm planning a trip in December and have comp offers for Bally's and the Linq and $34 rooms at Paris. This will be the first time staying at a CET property because I've always stayed with MLife properties. Which of these properties are are the nicest? I mostly go to just to gamble but would like to stay in a decent room at a reasonably nice property.

    Thanks!

Agreed - Not sure why Ballys is so easily suggested when getting out of that place is a pain in the butt. You have to weave up escalators, down stairs, through the Bazaar shops to get out to the strip. OR walk all the way through Paris.

Why not just stay at Paris? The casino has a less crowded vibe as well. The Red Room is pretty comparable to the Jubilee.

God knows we need the exercise.
It all depends on your LV plans. My opinion is the Jubilee rooms are much better than the Red rooms. Definitely newer. Just depends how much time you are going to spend in the room.
I find it easier to get comps at Bally's.
I play a lot of Poker and the Poker room is near the room elevators. No Poker room at Paris.

We've stayed at both and like Paris better - we are both ex-smokers and feel that the air vents better in Paris than Bally's - which is a big bonus for us!

We just got back from Vegas and spent 5 nights at Paris. Very impressed with everything there from the nice casino (little smokey for us), nice room (Red Room P Corner room), buffet, good restaurants, and all the nice employees there. Haven't stayed at Ballys in years, but wasn't that impressed when we did, and don't really like their casino much. Paris is a perfect location.

Paris or Bally's has been our "home" for at least 12 years.....while we love the layout / food options / ease of getting to the room or LV Blvd....those new Jubilee rooms @ Bally's are just hard to beat....

They are Sybgal - I love them. Last trips were Jubilee, Paris Red, Jubilee.

As far as getting 'out' - if you are going north (I just posted this in another thread) - head out main level of Ballys (or side door) by valet. Follow front of building to Flamingo & cross at street level. You will be by rear entry of Cromwell by their valet drop - just walk up & in. If I am still going further north, then I cut thru by the Cromwell garage (watch for idiot drivers) and cross the Flamingo drive and go in back door of Flamingo. SO much quicker than going to strip & fighting the crowds & walkovers.

In my opinion (which may be different than others'), this is apples/oranges when talking Bally's vs. Paris rooms. To me, Bally's Jubilee will give you a modern room in a neutral casino and an added few minutes to get to the strip. Paris will give you a more traditional room with a themed, lower-key casino closer to the strip by perception. Both are comparable in value (in my opinion) but are very different.

My experiences during the last few visits to Paris have been that the vibe and party atmosphere have stepped up considerably. A few years back, Paris seemed to be the location for the 40's and 50's quiet "on vacation" crowd. During my last 2 visits however, I've experienced louder live music, dancing, hootin' and hollering from the VP bars/ craps pits, and a generally dynamic vibe at Paris.

Conversely, Ballys has seemingly turned into the new retirement home on the strip. Maybe its just me.

We'll be staying at Ballys in February. I'll be sure to pack my Velcro sneakers and depends. :ssst:
