I've played them many times with good luck. I just love the live tables more so usually only play them when I'm feeling antisocial.

I think I've played it twice, and didn't have much luck. I played it when the tables were empty. But, that "Push the button" really gets on your nerves quick.

I love these machines. They don't replace the real thing, I greatly prefer the feel of chips and dice and felt, but these machines have been very, very kind to me over the years. I will play them early morning where I feel like chilling and being a bit antisocial and the craps tables aren't really hopping. I don't mind playing these machines alone, I don't like rolling at an empty craps table. Also, later in the day, these machines don't have drunks hanging hands over the rails, or stressed-out dealers, or those particular participants in a craps game where they think they're the only player at the table - we've all seen that. And my experience is like yours, you can get some insane runs of luck at these machines. In my last three trips to Vegas I have had at least one run per trip where I've made over $1,000 at these machines playing basically the equivalent of $10 craps with pressed bets. That's on top of several other sessions where I've won several hundred. Granted, I've had plenty of losing sessions in there too, they key to these machines (for me) has been press it when its hot and get out as soon as its not....then again, that's kinda craps in general isn't it. :)

I have to agree with fullboat the lady shouting at you to push the button, or announcing to the world that there is a "hot shooter" gets annoying, and I'll hear it in my sleep for days after returning home.

At the same time, these machines have become so synonymous with my Vegas experience, that a quick 10 second sound byte from one gets my adrenaline pumping. T-bone in his recent TR had I think a 14 second video of one of these machines in action, and its getting me all amped for our trip in about a week and a half.

I do think these machines are great for craps newbies who are intimidated by the live game. My wife will play craps with me at these machines, but she doesn't like joining me at the real tables.

People probably hate playing with me then. I don't like to "push the button" until she tells me to. I find her annoying voice funny.

And haven't won, but the few times I've tried the game, I seem to roll a bunch before eventually sevening out.

This is hilarious, because my wife...god bless her...loves to check facebook and various other sites/groups while we play this game. She will often not even press the button, instead allowing time to expire and shoot automatically. I think if you do that the girl yells 3 or 4 times. "Push the button....come on, its easy....PUSH...THE....BUTTON!!"....it drives me bonkers, but like I said, its my lasting memory from just about every vegas trip. To her credit, she shoots a lot of winners for me doing it, so I rarely complain. Plus, after a few drinks, the voice kind of just merges with the other casino white noise.

The people I really feel sorry for are the dealers by the machine who have empty tables...and have to stand there stoically listening to it....all....day....long.

They're great when the real craps tables are full, and when you don't want to be the only person rolling dice. I've won some $$ at PH and The Cromwell.

I like them for the low limit of $1,and exact 5% big on win only for buying the outside.
But max bet is usually only $25 or $50, per number

    Drunken Bubble

It's a great way to learn the game. I was waiting for some friends at Bally's couple trips ago and ran it up to 1K before we went hiking. Ahead @ 4Q and Bally's and -200 @ Elcortez. Fun way to sit around and have a few drinks without the drunk know it all's telling you how to play.

    I enjoy them...

I will almost always play the dark side on them.

My wife wants to learn craps better and is a bit intimidated at the tables since it moves fast and she does not want to upset anyone. I think I will bring her to one of these on our net trip.

I've never found a machine where there is a max bet of $50 on a number. Where do you find those machines? Admittedly, I've only really played these at V/P, but they don't have that limit there as I regularly play north of those numbers. I want to make sure I know so I don't start playing those where I can't press above 50$ when the table gets hot.

    Thanks

That's what I did with my wife, these machines were far more friendly to her than the table. She's still not a huge fan of craps, but I can at least twist her arm into playing at these machines, the real tables are a tougher sell.

I have to admit that at first I did not like the machines. I warmed up to the roulette machine though, and actually enjoy it more then the roulette table :). And the craps bubble machine is great for when just want to sit down, enjoy a drink, and 'roll' some dice. Sometimes a fun crowd develops at the bubble table. Not nearly as fun as a warmed up craps table, but in the right mood, it has it's place!

Both my wife and I like playing them: they have low limits, you can sit down, usually get good drink service in whatever casino you are in and for the most part I've found that the other players are friendly and sociable - every time I've played I would classify it as a great experience with the other players at the machine.

I hate roulette, but I actually find myself enjoying bubble roulette. Not sure what it is about a real roulette table, but I can't stand playing at one.

I've found myself playing more and more bubble craps every trip. Last time I had almost as much time at bubble craps than real craps. This trip it might actually eclipse it, we'll see.

Only down side is that most (all?) casinos don't give you any points for your play on those machines. House edge too low?

This is true, I'm not sure why either, if you got points for the table play I'd say it was to give you incentive to go to the tables, but for the most part you don't there either. At V/P you get a small (and I mean small) number of points for the bubble games (at least as of July). CET gives nothing, does Mlife give any? Or any of the smaller places?

Mlife, at least at the places I have played (luxor, MB) have little signs letting you know you won't get any points, so I don't bother putting my card in. I can maybe see this for craps, but roulette has a healthy 5.26% edge...

It has been said above, but it bears repeating: these machines are fun! Not your typical craps, but if you got your face melted off at the $15 table at PH, they have a bubble craps that you can plink around on and get wasted for pretty much free (tip your waitress!). Plus, if you are a novice, you don't have to worry about having the "right" odds or correct amounts on a place. The machine pays the change! I like these machines early in the morning if I am trying to blast a hangover out of my gourd because the waitresses are normally pretty frequent.
