    My Trip Report

Well, I have debated doing a trip report several times and didn't. My last two would have been pretty entertaining. I can't promise anything, but I will give it a go.

Flight was first piece of good luck. Had stretch seating with no one in the middle seat. I think it was one of the only empty seats on the flight. Good thing too, because the other guy in my row was in the middle seat and had to be 6-8 and 300 lbs. He was a nice guy, but would have crowded me a bit. image.jpeg

Watched a couple movies I downloaded to my phone from Amazon prime for free and the flight went by fast with just a few patches of turbulence.

Made it to Vegas about 30 minutes early and caught the limo to Aria. Pretty uneventful other than going to the wrong pickup location. Went to the same place as always, but apparently the driver was expecting me at baggage, which was in a different terminal. Had to wait for him to get back to terminal 1. He said it happens often with those who don't check bags. [IMG]

I'm sure half of our last flight went to T1 too and my g/f would have too until I point out the T3 sign to her. Frontier, amirite?

    Good luck!

Well, dinner was excellent at Jean Georges. I finally tried the short rib and it was fantastic. [IMG]
I did end up eating every bite. Also got to sample some Macallan 25 for the first time. It was very good, but the price tag per shot was like $200-$250.

As for the gambling, it was a complete train wreck. Started bad and stayed bad. Went down 30k in 30 minutes. Basically lost almost every hand. Kept getting 20s, then the dealer would pull a 21. Anybody who plays BJ can relate. Had one short little run at a second table where I recovered most of my losses by getting aggressive, but didn't shut it down for the night, and gave it all back, plus some. So, I am shutting down for the trip and doing some non-gambling activities until I leave Saturday morning.

Sorry to hear this Midnight. I've been in that boat before--spent two days walking, eating, and going to see Dick and Jane at the Freemont theatre. Appreciate and enjoyed your report thus far. Still keep us updated on your trip.

My last two trips the cards were much more kind. Last night, it just didn't matter what I did or what table I tried. Everyone in the high limit room was getting killed - and quickly. I am going to make the best of my time here now. You can't win every time, but it sure sucks to lose. I actually think in all the chaos last night, I thought I was tapped out for this trip, but realized today that I still have a little bankroll. We shall see.[emoji848]

FWIW, when I get destroyed early in a trip, but still have some bankroll left, I try to start fresh and just think of today as the start of a new trip. yesterday was a different trip where you got beat badly. But today is the start of a new one. Try and win a little, but don't chase to try and get it all back

Well, I decided to take a little break from BJ. I headed over to Bellagio for some poker and spent a couple hours there just to slow roll and kill some time. That was a good break. Won $80 at the 1-3 no limit hold em game. Headed back to Aria for lunch at Julian Serrano. It was good. I just needed a light lunch. Then played a little BJ and got $10k back. Was 15k, but set a stop loss for the session. I should have one more session left. Hopefully, it will be another good one to minimize the damage. Always a good feeling to cut the losses before flying home. Especially, since I will be back in January.
