    WOF - either $25 or $100
Hit this with freeplay at the B last season.

I treat all freeplay EXACTLY the same as cash. It plays like cash. It wins or loses just like cash. It is just part of my bankroll for the trip.

I know some like to do crazy things with it, but in the end,it is just plays that you do not have to reach into your pocket for another C-Note.

I like to use free play at the $10 Pinball slots. You can choose one or two credits or alternate each spin. The money goes further and there is still potential for a good hit if you get the Pinball symbol.

No. Not on pinball. I bet either $5 or $1 with mom last trip, 1 credit

I would find the lowest denomination/best paytable VP combo.

So, you still get to play the bonus where you get a few free spins with the "pinball" only playing one credit?

I know some will treat it like "free money" and go blow it on high limit slots... others won't even see it as money until they have it as cash in their hands and will go play stuff like video roulette and bet on all numbers, knowing they are guaranteed to lose money on every spin, until they "convert" their free play to cash...

I usually get $350 in free play when staying at Monte Carlo and I just treat it as part of my bankroll - I will use the free play plus $5 (to get it started) as my bankroll for the first night.

I look at FP as "conversion"
It's not "real" until I convert to real money.
(I don't know why, call it a quirk)

I used to get in slot play and usually get about a 50-70% conversion ratio (rough guess)
But I then started playing basic, basic roulette, doing just black/red
If the FP is on black, and it hits, the bet wins AND the wager stays up for the next spin. As long as that color keeps hitting, that wager stays up.
    It's a 50/50 shot.
(Dear Baby Jesus, please do not have someone come on here and tell me about the actual odds with green and then the difference in odds if it is single zero or double zero roulette wheel. Thank You Dear Baby Jesus, all clean and pretty in your white sheet and manger)

I usually convert all the FP even money or on the plus side

I would agree with this. It is not some money to "blow" but instead allows you play more/longer on machines you would normally play.

Depends I guess. If I were at the level where this type of thing was part of my normal offer, I would do what several are saying and treat it as part of my normal bankroll. But given that $500 is about 25% of my usual trip roll, I probably would get something like this by winning a drawing or the like. In that case I would take a shot with something I wouldn't normally play. Probably $5 VP, or $1 3line VP. Maybe Top Dollar or WOF in the HL area.

100 on 5 numbers at roulette. Or just 500 on one number.

Convert it to cash on the best vp pay table I can find (while enjoying the free drinks), then bring the cash to $25 a hand 3:2 blackjack table

Count me as a "conversion" person. Every time I get over $100 in free play, it gets used in the best payout VP machine I can find. One pass through and cash out. I'm averaging 70%+/- over the last few years. That cash starts the next trip's bankroll.

Agreed. I'd add it to my bankroll and hope to turn it into real money I can continue to use. For me, it's like being up $500 at the start of your trip. Usually I've only had $50-$70 in freeplay and I use that right away, play through it once and cash out whatever I have left of it and add it to my wallet. This trip I'll have somewhere between $100-$250 so I'll likely not use it all right away but I'm sure it'll be gone in the first hour or so!

I'd be inclined to swing for the fences on a $25 machine. Or a $1 multi-line 'gimmick' VP game like STP/DSTP/Hot Roll.

I feel like if I look at it as 'real' money before I've played it through then if I don't convert at a 100% rate (or above) then I'll view it as having already experienced a loss.
